Such a great problem to have! Loved getting rid of too big clothes and buying new cute smaller clothes!

I understand. I had been in plus sizes for about 18 years. Now I wear a medium. You look amazing BTW!

Update: I have now lost 60 lbs and met my original goal. Still going to the gym 5 days a week. I now go in the morning before work. I get up at 5:15 am. I eat healthy most of the time. I still limit carbs and added sugar but if I want ice cream then I have ice cream. I could lose a few more pounds but I am very happy where…

I finally decided I was worth it. I stopped making excuses and faced the reality that I was 50 lbs overweight. I looked bad and felt bad and had no one to blame but myself. I saw older people and the horrible shape they were in with preventable diseases and decided that I would do whatever I could to change my lifestyle.…

I am 50 years old and it took me 9 months to get to my goal weight. I am 5' 9.5". Start weight was 208 and current weight is 160. I'm thinking I could lose a few more pounds but I am pretty happy. I go to the gym 5 days a week and workout for about 1 hour 30 minutes - cardio and weight machines. When I was losing I logged…

Everyone is different. I am 5'9.5" and started at 220 wearing an XL/2XL. I now weight 160 and I wear mostly mediums. I am 50 years old. It would be possible for me to lose more weight but I think I would feel deprived. I already work out 2 hours a day 5 days a week. So I would say it's possible but really depends on how…

At first I was reluctant to get rid of my big clothes because I don't think I was confident in my weight loss. Now, they are all gone except one pair of jeans so I have a comparison. I went from an 18 to a 10. In between sizes are hard. Skirts work well. I only had one pair of jeans for each of my in between sizes. Just…

5' 9 1/2" SW 220 CW 162 Original GW 160 New GW 157 Size 10 jeans 50 years old Medium frame I workout 5 days a week (cardio and weights). I carry my weight in my stomach. Most of the weight (46 lbs.) has been lost in the last 9 months. I think I could get down to 145-150 but it would be very hard to maintain.

Now I can pretty much wear whatever I want. Skinny jeans, shorts (NOT Bermuda shorts), swimsuit (sticking with a one piece but I look and feel good in it), short dresses, tank tops, etc. I love that I can wear such cute clothes. I don't care that I am 50 years old. If I like it and it looks good I'm wearing it!

If someone says they can't lose weight, they just don't want it bad enough.

So very true.

Wow! You look like a completely different person. You are absolutely beautiful.

Excellent post! This is exactly where I am. Took me 50 years to get here.

Sometimes I do. But for me it's more like a feeling of sadness that I allowed myself to be that overweight and unhealthy for so long.

5' 9.5" 166 lbs. 38D I wear a medium in most tops, some large. For jeans, I'm just in a 10 and they are pretty snug. I really need to lose another 3-5 lbs for them to fit properly. I could probably wear an 8 if it wasn't for belly fat as my legs and hips are fairly slim.

I haven't been able to wear my wedding ring for more than a decade. I refused to get it resized. Kept saying I would lose weight. Finally did and last week I put it on and it fits.

Love your attitude.

Good for you!! I love that you've done this with no gimmicks and that it's sustainable.
