I'm thinking about doing this too! I start and stop C25K all of the time...for me its a little too structured. I do better when I get outside and run until I can't anymore.. Everyday I run a little longer than the day before. But I would get those ankles checked out first lady.

Can't wait to see that $500 in your hand! Congrats, you look great!

I would recommend cutting out meat a few days a week at first...this was how I started. All of a sudden I had gone a week without meat and never missed it. Definitely do some research and maybe even talk with your doctor. I'm getting ready to have some lab work done just to make sure I'm supplementing correctly with b12…

In my experience so far, healthcare professionals target modifiable risk factors. Meaning, you can't change your genetics, your gender ect, but you CAN change things like weight, smoking, and dietary intake. As a nurse, I see a lot of patients who's outcome would improve by modifying risk factors. Ultimately it's not the…

I'm already thinking of ways to stick to the plan for the holidays. Some things I have come up with are making some healthy side dishes for Thanksgiving, bringing my measuring spoons/cups (Yes, I have to do that or I overindulge), start with a big salad and drink more water than alcohol (we'll see if that sticks haha). My…

Lately I've really been considering a breast reduction (that's right, reduction) and a tummy tuck once I've maintained my weight for a year. Just found out my insurance will cover the tuck :). I think I've got a few years before this happens, though. Like everyone I want a new wardrobe full of skinny jeans and boots. I…

I love www.runsforcookies.com and www.halfsizeme.com. half size me also has a podcast. She talks a lot about weight watchers (which I don't do) but I can still relate to everything she says.

When I started losing weight I was a zumba fanatic! Going to classes 2x weekly. I ended up buying a heart rate monitor so I knew how many calories I was actually burning per class. I was shocked to see that I was burning between 700-800 calories per class! Because of a hectic school schedule, I stopped going to zumba in…

I'm not sure why it's such a crime for people to not want children? My career switch is on and that's the most important switch on my board right now.

I'm a night shift nurse and I bring a lot with me for a 12 hours shift...usually tuna, protein bar, fruit, low fat string cheese, cottage cheese, ect. I also drink a lot of coffee and water....I feel like I'm eating a lot but then I go home and sleep for 8-10 hours.
