I do aree with this, but just the way it was said was kind of funky. I don't believe in the starvation mode propagand. The thing that is etchy is this sentence. "Your body will go into starvation mode and try to hang on to weight if you are on very low cals, but if you are burning more than coming in, weight loss in…

What macros did you increase, and what about your exercise? Sarcasm doesn't help no one, i agree. Neither does highly inaccurate information.
-
For me, when i first started to increase my water in take. It made me very thirsty, I'd drink a gallon and a half a day, and like you said still couldn't quench the thirst. If you just recently increased your water intake, It could be the same issue I had.

I am confused, isn't hush and adross boyfriend and girlfriend?

Going to address 3 things here... [qoute] "Starving yourself in certain points of the day makes your body preserve its fat stores and you get sluggish. Knowing how many cals you burn in a day and what time of the day you go past your BMR's cal burn will enable you to eat to fuel up thru the day. Break your day down into…

This entire debate isn't really about what you said works or not. It does. The issue is "how you justify it." I think you said "eating 6 times a day speeds up your metabolism." What saddens me is people are usually just puppets believe anything they hear and go by that. Phrases that I don’t like at all “People say…

You can't disagree untill you tried it.

Growth Hromone = Helps burn bodyfat and perserve muscle. Parasympathetic nervous system(Makes you sleepy and tired). Eating 6 times a day LOWERS growth hormone, and TRIGGERS PSN... so you're saying you want to prevent fat burning and muscle growth, while making you tired and groggy?

Digesting food takes energy. If you're not digesting food during the day, where does the energy go? TO YOU. 2nd, when your a bit hungry it releases growth hormone and adrenaline, adrenaline keeps you energized through the day and burns with with the GH release. WHen you eat you slow down the production of these…

Chris, let me make sure i understand what you're saying. "hitting your macro goals are most important" i.e. feed your body with what it needs don't be eating crap? ....... oh i see looks like a double post.. that's not right, I am ready to fight you, when i win you'll bake me a low carb cheese cake.

love your signature pic, it's funny. Here's the question though, how many "correlatoins" do you need for it to be determined as the cause? You know.
-
People know to gain weight you need a caloric surplus. To lose weight you need a deficit. Lets say you burn 2000 calories a day. So if you eat 1500 calories a day you'd be in a caloric deficit. Doesn't matter if you eat 1500 calories in the morning, or evening, it's still 500 calorie deficit either way.
-
I do understand what you're saying. I do agree with you. Everything is a relationship and anything can be said not to be the cause. I just finished my computer science major, and started my chemistry major this semester. We basically plot data, see results of things, and plot more data. Just what a scientist does. What i…

I was thinking someone was going to say this right before i pushed "enter" on my otherr post. That saying I don't like at all. That's like saying "just because eating too much sodium has been linked to high blood pressure, doesn't mean salt is the cause." Okay that's absolutely true... but it's also true, "just because…
-
This is what i don't like... "But a recent study found that people who ate more calories after 8pm" more calories than what???? If you eat more calories of course you'd gain weight. Also on one of the links, it says "this debate has been going on for years with mixed results." Depends what you feed the test subject. If you…

haha, i'll give you that, yes it is good.

You know what's interesting about the doctor. As I said earlier how carbs have been linked to heart disease. I do understand what you're saying about stress, Dr James E. Loehr PhD makes a good point about it in his book. He has a few so i won't list them. He constnatly talks about causing waves of stress with waves of…

As you know calcium is leached from the bones and potassium from the muscles to keep a good balance of blood pH. Here's my question to you, do you think disease and health issues is just genetic and isn't influenced by our diet?
-
I am aware of the benefits of cholestrol. I remember hearing doctors sayitng that people with high levels of cholestrol live longer. Yes cholestrol can clump together and cause clogged arteries, but they only clump when there is scaring in the tissue, which has been linked to over consumption of simple sugars. I didn't…

Okay i give you props on your education and your accomplishments. This diet was created by Robert O Young PhD with 30yrs experience in microbiology. It was created by watching blood analysis and seeing how diet effects people's blood. I am majoring in chemistry, it's my first semester so I am not that educated in the…

I didn't buy it. We don't agree that's fine. I think we got lost in our debate. You kept on sharing a different view. I thought "what is this debate even about?" I did find this study "http://preventcancer.aicr.org/site/News2?page=NewsArticle&id=13441" It does say that eating alkaline food does have an effect on urine, but…
-
Doesn't matter, eating acidic foods produce a yellow sample, eating alkalizine food creates a blue sample. NOt hard...
-
how are you going to sit here talk about "getting educated" YELLOW, HIGHLY ACIDIC, BLUE, HIGHLY ALKALINE. What don't you understand??? It's not complicated. Go pee on a stick, and tell me what is your pH level. You can nit pick all day.The proof is in the test it yourself. I tested it, I KNOW, and I have SEEN THE RESULTS.…
-
Because multiple distillations are used to get a pure form of water. I have personally bought distilled water, and it was acidic.
-
As you know from a scientific perspective I can't give you your data, that's for you to interpret. Personally, i'd say about... 9.1 +/- 0.2 So you can interpret the data, here is the chart Yes I know the test shows i am highly alkalaine which isn't good either, i currently need to eat more acidic foods. Also everyone else…

yeah, it's from yellow to blue on this measuring device. I don't know what pH # a person has symptoms. As you know it would change throughout the day. The issue is choronic acidicity. Too much of anything, good or bad, isn't healthy for anyone.
-
yeah we filter out all these toxins in the kidneys. The kidney's can only do so much. Yes urine is supposed to be "slightly" acidic. If what you said was true, they wouldn't use urine samples to test for acidosis. In science such as chemistry(my major) a big issue is precision. Yeah a digital pH meter would be more precise…
-
You said you're a pharmacist or something?? I know you know chemistry. So you're in some form of science, as a scientist you should know to take data as it is not to be bias against some data. The evidence is right there. Acidic food produces acidic urine, acidic urine is linked to acidosis. Nothing more to it.
-
What non sense? you any good at math?? It's not hard. acidosis is tested by urine or blood. Eating acidic foods produce acidic urine. If your urine test high in acidicity, you're in an acidic state. It's not hard, simple logic, the evidence is right there in front of you. If you don't want to see it, nothing i can do, but…

You're right you don't get it by drinking chocolate milk. You get it by drinking chocolate milk, that nice piece of chicken, or fish, maybe some fruit, or some whole grains, etc... there are TONS of foods that are acidic. It's all of them put together that create an acidic state. [qoute] While studies do say that acidosis…
