  • Seriously....it isnt going to come off quickly...just make up your mind that it is going to be steady but not necessarily quick...I am always close to discouraged when the scale refuses to budge, but then have to remind myself that it really didnt jump on me overnight, so it isnt going to get off me overnight either!
  • I Have a college reunion to go to in July and need to drop 36 pounds so i am right there with ya! what is your plan of attack? what worked before? the sloooooooowness is the only part that bugs me =(
  • My biggest problem with chinese food is the sodium, i always end up weighing higher the day after, so try to avoid the sauce part of whatever you eat and stay away from anything breaded...i like the hot stuff so alway eat the kungpao chicken since it isnt breaded like generals chicken or those types..brocolli beef works…
  • I regularly have alcohol and I just count it into the calories! My favorite is to drink ONE long island iced tea or two rum and diet coke or three glasses of red wine..nice buzz, no hang over and as long as I got my hour of exercise that day, it even fits in the calorie count! +)
  • It helps me to know that at ANY time I CAN have that cookie or handful of chips, as long as I take my time and savor each one, without guilt, then add it to my calorie count for the day and move on! It seems like trying to stay COMPLETELY away from goodies is a sabotaging thing...like we are denying ourselves something,…
  • Thanks for some common sense encouragement!
  • I really like Tom's deodorant. It isnt an antiperspirant, which is unhealthy...we NEED to sweat to free ourselves of toxins! It comes in different scents, I like the honeysuckle. =) It's a stick, not a spray.
  • BEAUTIFUL! Congratulations! your hard work paid off, so proud! =)
  • I think the rest is crucial, I didnt rest for two weeks and ended up with an injured knee that kept me from the full workout for the following week, so if I had just taken one day off, I wouldnt have needed the WEEK to recover!
  • HAY! that is why we are all here! on the days when you just fell like you are NO WAY going to the gym, get up and get your butt down there! i am at the point where i feel like crap when i DONT get that cardio...it really is addictive and a perfect way to replace all the goodies...i also drink massive amounts of Honest Tea…
  • Oh my goodness, have i BEEN THERE! my weight loss is very slow also...are you getting cardio? and have you tried to go very low carbs? i have found that if i stay away from the starches for now, even if they were "allowed" by my calorie count, and consistently get the cardio for a full hour at least five days, i have…
  • look up the nutritional content of foods at the restaurants where you are most likely to eat and have a meal in mind so that wherever you decide to go, you already know what to order and that it fits in your calories for the day! I did that for girls night at Chili's, and though it was tough, I found two things I could eat…

  • you have got to try to find a balance...i am always ending up going too far with either the exercise, the calorie counting, or working too much, and not getting enough rest and balance...try to think in terms of just a life that you can maintain and live with...enough sleep, enough exercise, enough food, enough…
