  • I don't see much terribly wrong - but try keeping track of your sodium along with the carbs and protein. I know sodium is a huge factor for me. Just by quickly looking at what you've been eating - I'm guessing you are either close or over your sodium limit each day.
  • I've been a member at curves for about 6 years. The first 4.5 to 5 years I was a member I pretty much maintained my weight. About a year/year and a half ago - when I started using MFP and working by behind off at curves - I lost almost 70 lbs in less than a year. The only thing I started going differently (besides eating…
  • I haven't really looked at the zig zag theory too much. But, I do know from experience that when I hit a plateau, I would often increase my calories for a day or two, then drop back to 1200 and it seemed to make me start losing again. I never tried it on a 7 day cycle though, just when my weight loss would slow down.
  • If you do a search for "exercise calories" you will find every opinion under the sun - and even probably a few from way out there  In all seriousness....you will find out what works for your body. Sometimes I ate mine, most of the time I ate a few, but not all of them. I seldom ate more than 100 of them back and…
  • grilled chicken, steamed veggies or salad with light or balsamic vinegar dressing, and boiled potatoes (if that is a option - or you can have something other than potatoes). Just watch for sauces and condiments as they probably have a lot of sodium - almost ALL food prepared as restaurants have a ton of sodium. Fish (like…
  • Yup, I have a similar issue too. I work out 4x's (sometimes 5x's) a week, wear a size 6, and don't really look like I need to lose more (except for that pesky upper ab area...) yes to be in the "normal" range for weight I need to lose almost 15 more lbs. Seriously? I'm having a hard time finding the balance between the…
  • hmm, I never thought about it exactly that way, but I think you are on to something. I always find it much more difficult to stay within my calories on days I don't exercise. Never thought that the two might have a correlation. Interesting....
  • I can't remember the exact name of what I have gotten in the past, but something along the lines of wood fire shrimp with rice and broccoli. It was SO good!
  • Ugh - me too!! I have always always always been the warm one - shorts and short sleeves in the winter. After losing 60 lbs, I find that I too am freezing ALL THE TIME! My electric blanket has become my new best friend ;-)
  • I go to Curves and love love love it! BUT, I will say - it is all about what you put into it. You can go and do a "ho-hum" work out or you can got and it can kick your butt. I typically go 3-5 times a week, probably average 4 times a week. I do three time around the circuit, which works about to about 35 minutes a…
  • We have the machine too, but I didn't see them pop out of it until the other day. It made me laugh. I didn't know about the website - it does have some great suggestions!
  • Mmmmmmm - just had one with nutella. They are SO yummy! Love them with Wegmans natural peanut butter and organic strawberry jam. I don't think our Wegmans has been selling them long, maybe just a couple of weeks.
  • You are young to be thinking about "dieting". BUT, I don't think you can be too young to be thinking about healthy. Does that make sense? Don't obsess about calories, just make smart, wise choices and you will be just fine! Most importantly - please make sure you have a healthy support system whether it be in a parent or…
  • I would not go with either choice actually. I went to Friendlys last weekend and ordered the crispy chicken wrap, with grilled chicken instead of crispy (ate half plus the "inside"of the other half - left the shell...). I got the typical side of fries (only ate half...) and two scoops of ice cream for dessert (no…
  • Oh this is a tough one. I've worked at a summer camp for 13 years and struggled with weight for as long. My experience has been - my amount of exercise rises dramatically as does my calorie intake. Just be careful and don't use your increase in exercise as an excuse to eat more - that is what I always did. Eat smart, make…
