  • My husband actually did that last month! He bought the big box of snack size chips--which was awesome for me, but then I noticed our 5 year old sneaking a bag here and there, eating more than he would normally consume (I dont have a lot of processed foods in the pantry normally). However, I noticed if i did grab a bag of…
  • I have blood pressure that's on the lower end of the scale, which is good, but my dr has always told me to eat more salt --so maybe my body craves more. Who knows. And another reason I think the late night snacking is hard is because of our schedule. With our kids going to bed around 830 or so, my husband and I spend the…
  • And, about the plain popcorn.....we have been making that lately, the plain white popcorn on the stove, but then I realized the oil (even if its extra virgin olive oil) is probably going to make the calorie count sky high in that as well. :-/
  • Not bossy at all! It makes perfect sense. I think my hubs would be a little irked if he couldnt take those things in his lunch, or he would end up buying them on his own somewhere during the day, which stinks for him. I just need to find some self control. I used to always say "At least what I'm over-eating is healthy…
  • Does the fitbit zip accurately track steps? Thats all I really want, but I want something super accurate. :)
  • Can I find these at a Sporting Goods store...Target...Amazon?
  • This is a good idea!
  • I do try to eat LOTS of salads with lots of veggies. The area my back hurts is actually in my mid back area, not by my kidneys. I know you can have displaced pain sometimes, but I havent noticed any other symptoms, and the muscle soreness on my sides is along the sides of my torso, from under my arms down to my waist. Its…
  • Another pound gone folks! 5.5 so far! :)
  • Thanks all! :) Here's to sticking to it this time and actually being consistent for one of the few times in life.
  • Thank you! :)
  • Thank you so much.... :)
  • Thank you. I hope that's the case. I know I'm not perfect in my workout/diet strategy, but I do what I can, when I can, and it's not that I'm expecting a huge change after 2 weeks, but an increase on the scale is disheartening. Hopefully in the next week or so, I will at least notice changes in how clothes feel. :)
  • Sorry, its not TDEE, its resting calorie burn.
  • Thanks!! I agree, its better not to think about it. I barely thought about it before kids...now I think about it all the time, trying to keep them healthy. Ugh.
  • You can do those things....but to me, this is no different than having to run up my 2 flights of stairs about 50 times a day. It burns calories and gets the heart rate up, but it's not going to "tone". I think the OP means she wants to get a real work out in and is trying to find the time. I think all of us moms get 10…
  • I figured it was ridiculously expensive. I have always said with my super busy schedule, if I could actually afford to have meal delivery (organic foods only) service, I would be the perfect candidate. Sucks. I will look around for those recipes you mentioned!! If you ever talk to the person and figure out what websites…
  • I have not read all the responses on this thread, but it is something I struggle with as well. I have a 5 month old and a 5 year old--and both are extremely active! Plus, I work full time and my husband and I do our best to keep up with our house---but clutter and piles of crap drive me insane, so usually all my ambition…
  • I never really looked at it as a diet, more of a way to eat a balanced meal 5 times a day. I never followed the "blocks", I just followed recipes I found online and had success with it. Now its 7 yrs later and I'm busier than ever with 2 kids, and I was just hoping there were some others who followed the concept of the…
  • I'm kind of scared to know the answer to this, but do you know the name of the meal delivery service and how much it was?
  • I have 12 more to go as well, but ultimately I would like to lose 15-20!!
  • I never stopped taking my prenatals after I had our baby because I feel like they have a good mix of vitamins in them. On top of those, I take biotin. What would be some other supplements to help prevent colds/stomach bugs I could take?
  • This sounds great, I will have to try this!
  • What I made this weekend: Buffalo Chicken: 3 ww frozen chicken breasts, 1 dry ranch packet, 1 12oz bottle of Franks Red Hot.....YOWZA is it hot....but very good over a few tortilla chips or on a salad. Southwest chicken: 2 ww frozen chicken breasts, 1 cup frozen corn, 1 cup salsa, 1 can black beans, 1 packet of reg taco…
  • Thank you, this sounds really good!
  • This sounds so good!!! Def trying this!
  • I def could get on board with this one!!! :)
  • I'm working on making small changes....for example, two nights in a row now I havent eaten anything after 9. Also, if i feel the need to splurge on something, I have been trying to do it before dinner time. Here's to trying to wrap my head around all this....
  • love this! a friend of mine told me that it takes 21 days of doing something before it becomes a habit. Therefore, i'm going to TRY and not eat before bed for 21 days in a row. last night was night #1 :)
