I lost my son a few years ago -- he was 18 and he committed suicide, so I have a little knowledge of the sense of shock that people can experience in these situations. I think the most important thing you can give a person (and yourself) is TIME. It takes a long, long time to have a sense of balance after a devastating…

LOL. Yeah, there's a class going on when I get morning workouts in, and I'm reasonably certain that any video footage of the things I see could earn me some major bucks! No offense. :)

Pretty sure my husband would just say "BOOBS" in a slightly difficult to distinguish manner. HAHA But, whatever. I'm not a guy, so I wouldn't know.

Welcome. I'm Kellie. Been using MFP since Sept. 1. Good luck to you. You will find as much support and accountability as you want here. People are really awesome on this site! :)

A very fat kitty with no front claws (I didn't do it). I think I'm a dead person!

Don't forget that muscle burns calories in everyday activities. The less muscle mass, the fewer calories you will burn in a given day. You must maintain muscle mass with some type of weight bearing exercise as you will lose it with age (take it from me, I'm 41). Use it or lose it. And, it goes without saying that less…

HAHA! Yes! Anyway, I drink Diet Coke. I am a known addict several states over. I'm not saying I would die without it, but it is part of my emergency/zombie apocalypse stash!
-
hmmmmm... I would recommend that you try a little tiny snack of like a half yogurt or something that has enzymes in it like a raw apple or carrot. Hopefully the enzymes will address the digestion issue.
-
Yes. Also crave chocolate like a true addict and I gained 5 pounds last month! (didn't even eat the chocolate)

I wear 42 DD and I always work out with my bathing suit on under my clothes b/c I swim afterward. My suit is fairly snug and seems to hold everything in nicely.

I haven't tried it, but I have that reaction to some food colorings. Maybe not such a great product for you. :)

Congrats on the loss! Yes, MFP has been a real life saver for a lot of us. I don't know if it's the sense of community, or just the super simple tools, but whatever it is, I thank God for it. Keep up the great work!!

Ditto on the tats. One of the few guys I've seen on whom they look sort of natural and cool. Congrats on your excellent progress!

Yeah, I would definitely not pass up the opportunity to see a close friend like that. If it were me, I would suck it up and work out early. :)

I agree with the author of the post. I never liked the word "hubby" although my ex wanted me to call him that, and he is now my ex and I won't go into too much detail except to say that I am WAY more masculine that he is, and that's all I have to say about that. LOL :)

I use HRM and count every stinking calorie from when I walk onto the elliptical until I get out of the hot tub. :)
-
I recommend starting with one thing at a time -- do that for a few weeks before adding another, and continue. Calorie counting is a great first step. I recommend a 30 minute walk three times a week, or hay, even once a week, if you haven't been doing it for a while. Hopefully, you can get on some friends' food diaries and…

Ditto on the strength training. More muscle burns more calories. :) Good luck!
-
You can do it! One day at a time, one walk at a time. Rah! Rah! :)

In general, the more you weigh, the more calories you burn, so the folks who are over 200 are probably burning about what the machines and HRMs say. My HRM was DEAD ON with the new elliptical at my gym. MFP figured the burn a little higher, so I adjusted the calories to reflect my HRM. For me, weighing right around the 200…
