I'm all for keeping each other accountable/staying healthy post-baby. And like the others, I'm not going to rush it. With my daughter, I took the 6 weeks after her birth (that the doctor recommended) "off". I still would leisurely walk, and I didn't eat too horribly- but I wanted to just enjoy my maternity leave/time with…

Wow- a lot more aversions than I thought- guess I'm lucky! Sugarbabie- with my daughter, I got an ultrasound towards the end just because I was measuring so big and they wanted to make sure I wasn't having a 9 pounder:) But I agree with the fact it just depends on the practice!

Hey there- that's strange that you're still having food aversions!! Is it still going for any others in the 2nd trimester?? During the first tri, I didn't want ANY fruits or veggies really- had to foce myself to eat them and felt nauseous all day every day. But I started feeling better about 12 weeks, and haven't…

It IS funny how the Drs are different- I've gained 9/10 thus far at 18 weeks 5 days. But with my daughter I gained 8 the first trimester and my Dr never said anything...I don't know which I prefer!:)

I bought my own evenflo pump last time around...but towards the end I used my friend's Medela and LOVED it. This time around, my friend (who is done having kids) already gave me her medela pump to use and I see NOTHING wrong with it. They ARE a lot of money, and we gotta do what we can to save!

We are finding out...our appointment's next Thursday, but we won't officially find out til our Pink and Blue Party next Friday evening (if baby cooperates, that is). I'm super excited, and more clueless about what this one is. With my daughter, I knew- but this one I've had both feelings- so will be interesting to know for…

I haven't had any sickness yet this pregnancy, but I don't mind taking meds from the "approved list" if sicknesses arise. Just think of our moms and all the women before us who were pregnant- they did all sorts of things we aren't "supposed to" and we all turned out fine!:) I'm all for being careful, and I don't take…

I felt my first baby at around 16 weeks, and this one at about 12/13...Hubby prolly won't be able to feel it til sometime around 20 if I remember right. He just has to be patient!;)

I was doing that video a couple times a week until just recently (I'm 17.5 weeks). I'd say as long as you were doing it before, keep it up- just stop when you're tired and make sure you're getting enough water. Also, maybe don't do some of the AB parts where you're laying on your back. That help?

BeckyJill- Old Navy has cute maternity clothes online as well- and a bit cheaper than the Gap:)

I struggle with this as well- big time. This is my second time around, and my first pregnancy I gained around 40 lbs. I was/am determined to not gain as much this time, and to be healthier throughout. I'm already dealing with the issues of thinking I'm chubby, my thighs are getting bigger, etc... However, since this is my…

Scary...but hopin' we see you back here in a month with nothing wrong! Prayers your way...

At work, I eat a lot of graham crackers, mixed nuts (small handful), string cheese, and yogurt. Ohhhh- and apples and peanut butter-mmmm. Trying to eat at least 2-3 servings of fruit a day, and at least 1-2 servings of veggies (not a big fan). I don't think there's any tried and true method- just eat small servings of what…

Welcome to the newer ladies!! And congratulations, Faughorn on your lil' boy. I find out June 8th (at almost 20 weeks):)
-
kerrbear- Were your appointment times at the same time?? I had an appointment today at 3:15 and according to their scales, I had gained 6 since last month...but my last appointment was in the morning before I ate anything, so I'm not getting upset about it...if you're keeping track at home- then go by that scale. I know…

Just had my 2nd appointment- just to hear the heartbeat and that was about it! Scheduled my ultrasound for June 7th (when I'm almost 20 weeks), and we will be hopefully (if baby cooperates) having our gender reveal Pink/Blue Party on the 9th! I'm excited. Although, I had a dream the other night that it was a boy, so I'm…

I'm almost 15 weeks and am (as of today) up 6/7 lbs...been garage sale-ing as well. We already have a daughter, but she was born in July and since this one's due in October I definitely need more newborn sweaters/jackets and pants. So for now, they're all neutral until I find out the gender- not til 20 weeks. Was pumped…

I can't believe all you ladies who aren't even in Maternity pants yet...although I think my first time around I didn't show til 16-ish weeks. But I'm almost 14 weeks and have been in Maternity clothes for like 3 weeks already- got quite the baby bump, but have only gained 5 lbs! Oh well- I'll stop being jealous of you all…

chickybuns- If you can get AFLAC through your work, they have a short-term disability plan. Although, by now it'd prolly be a "pre-existing condition". That's what I did with my last baby- so I got paid from my work for a portion of the time I was off, and then AFLAC cut me a huge check. However, I can't do it this time…

I have an appointment at 16 weeks- May 11th, but I can't find out the sex until I'm 20 weeks- my doctor's rule. I think I'm ok with waiting this time around- I'm not as anxious I guess since it's my second- I don't know! Last time I had a dream beforehand that it was a girl- and it was! Still waiting for a gender-reveal…

Hey Ladies- I'm new to the group too- will be 13 weeks this weekend with my second! Sugarbabie- that's what we are doing- a "Pink or Blue Party". Each guest must wear pink if they think it's a girl, and blue if they think it's a boy! I'm excited to all find out together. My first time we just blabbed to everyone:) My…

Congrats, ajsdream!! I'm off too- will be out of the first trimester this weekend!! Finally feeling like myself again- with my ravenous appetite and all:) See you all in the 2nd tri group!

So sorry, Maria. Thoughts/Prayers your way...

Yah, this is my 2nd so I'm showing a bit already too- 11 weeks 4 days. I've gained somewhere between 3 to 4 lbs but I've been trying to keep working out pretty reguarly. Just this week, I've started to finally feel m/s free...I don't want to jinx myself, but it's been WONDERFUL to be able to eat and not feel sick for a…

Had my first appointment today- everything was normal, I'm right on schedule (11 weeks 3 days), and I got to see my lil' peanut! Feeling very relieved now. Only 1.5 weeks left in this group, then I'm moving on!! Can't wait to have some caffeine again...
-
Wickedmeowmer: You're in my thoughts and prayers:) Stay positive...
-
My first appointment is (FINALLY) tomorrow morning- I'll be 11 weeks 3 days tomorrow...can't wait to have peace of mind. Will keep everyone posted:)
-
Aw man- you're lucky you had your appointment yesterday! I'm due October 28th and still have to wait til April 11th for my first appointment. I HATE waiting:(
-
Yah, my first appointment isn't until April 11th, at which point I'll be almost 12 weeks!! So those of you that have to wait a while- you aren't alone! I know I'm pregnant- I've taken 2 tests, and get nauseous pretty much every time I eat. BUT, nothing will truly seem real until I see that little booger and see his/her…

Oh my word- the Pregnancy Brain is AWFUL this time around for me!!! I don't remember it affecting me as much this early during my first pregnancy either- I'm saying dumb things/getting my words & thoughts mixed up. I am forgetting and misplacing everything! My husband thinks it's hilarious because I normally am pretty…
