  • Any new announcements in here? Been kinda quiet...would love to hear more stories!:)
  • Hey everyone! The waiting is over for us too....our little one decided to come on their actual due date (Tuesday). And our surprise baby was a GIRL- our third little girl to be exact:) Water broke at 1:45pm, and she was born at 6:20. It went super fast, and I was able to have a natural childbirth as planned! Maizie June…
  • Still pregnant over here! When they told me I was 1 cm dilated at 36 weeks, I thought for sure this baby would be early. Now here I am, 4 days away from my due date, 2 1/2 cm dilated (as of Monday), 60% effaced, with no mucous plug left and I am STILL with child! This baby is a stubborn one, that is for sure!…
  • How is everyone doing?? Been pretty quiet here lately!! Had my 37 week appointment on Tuesday and I was still only 1 cm dilated but cervix was softer. So I was somewhat disappointed by the lack of progress. BUT, I have been getting a lot of contractions lately and I really feel like it could be anytime- although, that MAY…
  • Thanks! Yah, with my first I didn't dilate at ALL- even at 40 weeks pregnant, so this news was super exciting:) It was just an exam. At 36 weeks, they usually do the Strep B test, and so often they'll just check ya while they're down there:) I had a feeling I was making some progress, but there is still a long ways to go!…
  • Had my 36 week appointment today and I'm already 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. Granted I still have a ways to go, but It was encouraging for me to hear that all these contractions are helping me progress! Maybe I'll have a May baby too!!:)
  • Those are great suggestions! I also took my own bath robe with me, just to be extra comfy in case I got cold. If you're going to be induced, I HIGHLY recommend taking games and/or Movies. Hubs and I had quite a long first go around with our oldest, and we were super glad we brought games to play/keep my mind off the…
  • I didn't have any Braxton Hicks with my first pregnancy, but have had a tonnnnn with this one (my third). In fact, around 32/33 weeks I had a day where it literally felt like I might be going into labor. Doctor said that's normal with the subsequent pregnancies. Hoping it means things are "happening" down there and baby…
  • Welcome to the lovely emotions that come with motherhood- don't worry, you're not alone! Things are going pretty well here...26 weeks yesterday and can't believe it! Next week I head in to take my glucose test...I'm so close to the third trimester, I can taste it! Defintiely more sore through the hips/upper legs this…
  • I do the Denise Austin and Lindsey Brin pregnancy DVDs. Lindsey Brin has one for each trimester that combines weights and cardio. It's not crazy strenuous, but it's good for keeping in shape. Plus, I walk a few miles on the treadmill several times a week. Way to keep it up!
  • Hey Ladies! 22 weeks yesterday and plugging right along with this baby- number 3. My weight kinda jumped after Christmas. I went from a 6 lb. gain to an 11 lb. gain in like, a couple weeks. But now it's balancing out and I'm holding steady at +13. Still higher than I'd prefer, but I'm dealing with it:) Still staying…
  • Yah, I'm not much help either. This is my third pregnancy, and the morning sickness was the worst yet but it subsided at 14 weeks. I agree tho...those weeks I felt sick I only wanted carbs. Macaroni and cheese. Bread. Bad stuff. Finally back to enjoying the healthier foods again. Well, until Christmas hit. I don't even…
  • [quote="I am up 5-7 pounds from my SW, and I am in my 16th week as well. My doctor said this gain is average for how far along I am. In fact, she wouldn't mind if I gained a little more. So I would not worry about it too much. Are you going to find out what you are having? :) [/quote] Well that's reassuring!!! I gained 40…
  • Up 6 pounds as of Friday and will be 16 weeks this Tuesday...seems a little high to me, but maybe I'm delusional:) I didn't keep track of the week-by-week gains with my other pregnancies. Just knew the totals. But I'm still one pound below my STARTING pregnancy weight with both my daughters. So, I'll take it:) Other than…
  • Any other June due dates out there??? Let's join together!!!:) Share your due dates, fitness goals and other details you wanna share! As for me, I'm almost 12 weeks along, due June 9th with number 3! Hope to keep my weight gain around 30 like my second pregnancy:)
  • Hey there! I'm a June 2015 Mom...coming out to the crowd next week probably at 10 weeks. I'm due June 9th. This is my third pregnancy, so I've been around the block a few times;) Welcome to the club- it's exciting! What are you nervous about? The weight gain? Miscarriage? It's normal to be nervous your first time around…
  • @Mellynat- have you tried zig zagging your calories? That's what I'm doing right now and it's seemed to have helped. There are forums on this site about it and also websites. PM me if you have questions:) You got this, girl!
  • Hey there- I'm not sure that 1200 calories is enough when breastfeeding (even when you add in the 500 extra). Most of what I've seen over the past couple years with myself and friends is this: the more you eat- the more you lose. if you are hungry- you should be eating. Not highly processed foods, try to eat clean- but…
  • For my oldest daughter (who has a July birthday) I just picked a color scheme and made all my own decorations. I baked the cake myself and just gave her her own special slice. For my second daughter (who's birthday is at the end of October), we did a Halloween theme. I made all sorts of halloween themed food, and cupcakes…
  • Was in the same boat as you ladies- there's hope in sight!!! With my second daughter, I only gained 30 during my pregnancy. The first 20 fell off, but it took me 9 months to get the last 10 off (that was EBF). I weaned when she was a year old, and have since lost about 6 pounds. I'm 2 pounds below pre-pregnancy weight, AND…
  • I was in the same boat as you- never diagnosed as anything, but it's happened to me whether pregnant, not pregnant, or breastfeeding. The only advice I have is to eat SOMETHING every few hours. I'm a firm believer in eating small amounts 5 times a day. When pregnant and breastfeeding, I'd always eat breakfast, a small…
  • So to all interested...I spoke with my Doctor yesterday (I'll speak with her more at Jovie's 13 month appointment), but she said that as far as almond milk- it doesn't have enough protein in it for little ones. She said soy milk has more protein, but it would also have more hormones/additives which is what I'm trying to…
  • Kiley, we have a ProForm Crosswalk treadmill. Not sure which model (I'm not at home). Got it from Sears, and only paid a little over $300!! We've had it a few years and it's worked great for us:)
  • Thanks for all the replies!! Gonna call my doctor tomorrow and see if they have any suggestions as well:)
  • Glad my post was able to encourage someone! I'm a strong proponent of breastfeeding, so I didn't want it to come across negative...I just know that I enjoy my independence as well:) Good job, Momma- you're right, 6-12 months flies! You're in the home stretch now:)
  • Both my breastfed babes slept through the night by 7 weeks! But I know that's not the norm. It obviously depends on the babe and the schedule they're on during the day. Hoping that 4 hour stretch was the start of something wonderful for you!:)
  • I'm currently in the last week of weaning...I had enough frozen milk stored up, so the last few weeks I've dropped a feed a week (she was only nursing 4x a day). This week I'm down to the morning feed only...I might not have exactly enough breast milk left, but I'm close. I figure I can always supplement with some formula,…
  • For me, I went every 3 hours from day 1, and at about 5 or 6 months I was feeding at about every 4 hours. Both girls slept through the night from early on. Perfectly normal for baby boy to be ready to go longer between feedings...his little tummy's growing and he knows how to fill up more. Enjoy!:)
  • ^^ This is exactly what I did the last time, and it's what I plan to do this time around as well. Taking it slow eased any discomfort I might've experienced, and I had enough frozen milk to use mostly that. Jovie is just now 11 months so we will be starting that process with her soon. Good luck!
  • I ended up buying some clothes after my first baby/before I lost my weight. I was sick of still wearing maternity clothes. But, I also didn't want to spend a lot of money so I went to thrift stores to get some in between things. It stinks having clothes of all different sizes laying around, but let's be real- it's a…
