Full fat in the mornings because I struggle to eat properly in the mornings so I want the extra calories to keep me going until I feel hungry and want to eat breakfast. Skinny later on in the day because I want to minimise the calorie effect of any latte after my morning drink.

This is my inspiration for the month! Thank you for posting, that's such an awesome achievement.

Another pear shape here. Since I started lifting heavy weights (and calorie deficit) I've lost inches off my hips and thighs. The muscle I'm building has made my thighs look so much better (more shapely, plus less flubbery cellulite). I also worry sometimes about whether my thighs will start to look huge and muscley but I…

Bought a pair of amazing skinny Levis jeans in December and was getting a bit bummed they were starting to feel loose/big, but in July I randomly found the same pair two sizes smaller on sale in TK Maxx (the UK version of TJ Maxx to my American friends!) Of course I bought them as "aspirational" jeans. Today I fit into…

Since February I have gained around 4 lbs muscle and lost around 22 lbs fat, so it is possible to do both simultaneously. No special eating programme for me other than aiming to net my BMR and trying to make sure I hit 40% protein on my macros (was a bit patchy at this too, only recently are the lifestyle changes so well…

Yep! Lost about 16kg in the first half 2012, then moved to a new country and became a student living on stress, alcohol and starbucks with very little time to sort out a new exercise routine after I badly injured my ankle, so gained 20kg over the next year. I'm now 9kgs down this year. For me it was all about recognising…

Bump so I can come back and post my own. Been on a bit of a plateau recently but you have all been so inspiring! I like the person who said they felt great, you should all feel fabulous and just keep on feeling even more fabulous as you hit goal after goal. All the best to everyone!

My trainer has shown me exercises I'd never have done myself, making full use of the equipment in the free weights section, and getting me to lift heavy now that I understand the correct form. We work both on regular things (deadlifts, squats etc.) to improve my form and the weight I can lift, and every session he tends to…

I'd be open to it, the problem is the gym is such an awkward place. I fairly regularly end up having a bit of banter with the guys at the gym, but it's always quite short (one or both of us are between sets) so it's nothing more than a bit of friendly chat, whereas the same thing in a bar could easily end up in a longer…

No, but my sister nearly caused my mum to have a car accident by screaming at her that there was a turtle in the middle of the road. It was a rock. HYE suddenly got the giggles in the middle of a really important meeting / in front of a senior work colleague and had to make out like you were choking or coughing to cover it…

Sometimes you might not feel like it's happening, but it's happening. And forget the scales, a monthly picture will tell a much more accurate story.

I started lifting at the beginning of this year and have progressed really quickly with a trainer who pushes me hard. It was a really hard day when I felt like I was struggling with some deadlifts and, once I'd finished, a guy who was sat at the side said to me "that looked really impressive, I don't think I could do…

I do, but only because when I was assigned a PT at my gym I got one who was really into Olympic lifting. I've noticed it's only him and one other trainer who do this regularly with their clients. I never would have tried it otherwise as I don't think I saw the point of it beforehand. Now of course I love it. And of course…

Look at you smiling in both pics, you're lovely. So pleased for you that you reached your goal and I'm also pleased for me that you shared and are now my Monday morning inspiration. Thanks for sharing and all the best!

I had a similar thought to the OP the other day and it scared me because I don't WANT to keep logging forever. (For those who have found it becomes part of their daily lives, that's awesome, but it's just not something I can sustain because I don't have the will to do it indefinitely) However, I am gradually finding that…

I moved to Asia. The largest size they tend to do in shops here is a UK 12 / US 8 and even that is fairly rare. Here they will sometimes tell you when you walk in a shop that there is nothing for you in there. They're not trying to be rude, but culturally they can be a bit more matter-of-fact that you are wasting your (and…

Hahahahaha, been there, done that!

I'm restricting my sugar intake but I still eat fruit - I'll generally stick with the lower sugar varieties like berries or peaches on a daily basis, but when I'm having a heavy lifting day I'll have bananas or mangoes (LOVE mangoes!) if I want them. Keep enjoying your fruit! I'm about to tuck into a whole box of…

I've had a Polar FT60 for over 5 years now and it's brilliant. I use it so much I've just had to buy a new chest strap as my old one broke (twice - I'd sewn it back together once already). Being able to wirelessly download my workout data to a computer would however make me upgrade. I would prefer to stick with Polar…

My monthly weigh in was disappointing on Friday, so instead I took progress pictures for a visual of how my body has changed since starting MFP. The top pics are from January but weight didn't start to change until I joined MFP at the end of February, so the bottom pics show about 2.5 months' progress (just under 5kg lost…

Hong Kong! Avoiding the dim sum and enjoying the fact I can get more or less any cuisine on the planet within 20 minutes of my front door. And hiking in the hills through country parks is only 10 minutes' walk away even though I live in the city centre. Oh and I've tried Scotland's deep fried Mars Bars. Guiltiest pleasure…

Ah, ah, ah, ah, stayin alive, stayin alive

Monday - 300-odd calories burned doing super-low-impact cardio to help me recover from sore muscles (supposed to be rest day after monster hike yesterday) Tuesday - DOMS in my calves has reached epic proportions so taking second rest day and doing nothing... Hmmm not going spectacularly well so far but not giving up yet!

Pay the extra $15 for the spray tan now because you'll save a small fortune in future on anti-ageing treatments by avoiding the sun bed. If the tan is for a wedding does it even need to look good for more than 3 days?

Ah! I have pms at the moment so due to water retention my weigh in will look awful this week and ridiculously good the week after. BUT I do a monthly weigh in on a whizzy machine at the gym which tells me how much of my weight change is fat down, muscle up and changes in water retention, so I'll join in with you ladies…

Hi all! I'm already a few months into a long term plan to change my eating and exercise habits and it's going really well so far. I have my exercise and eating plan sorted, it's totally sustainable and I enjoy both my meals and my workouts. However, there are certain things which derail me - lack of sleep is one of them,…

Such a thing exists?!? Wow I am both massively disappointed and massively relieved there isn't the slightest chance I could get hold of this in Hong Kong...
