  • I just add in the calories. Implication is that the exercise is "extra" calories, above basal... Doing that, I do better if I meet my target including exercise, than meeting the target without exercise...

  • I like the Garmin GPS watches that include HRM. If you do something outside, they also show distance and calories. Great for biking and spirited walking.
