  • All natural body builder. Author of "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle." He's very renowned and his body is testament to what you can do following his principles. It's nothing revolutionary; just kinda lays it all out there. He gets pretty technical sometimes but it's definitely a good read. I think it might be an e-book only…
  • Hehe. Probably. Tom Venuto rocks!
  • Oh Dave, so much to learn about women. We wear makeup so we can look natural! Duh...
  • If you have dry skin any powder mineral makeup will make this more obvious...good to use a liquid primer first if this is the case. There are a lot of good ones out there these days. Seems to be the trend; personally I tried Bare Minerals and hated it. Went to the Dior counter and left looking much better:wink: . Perhaps…
  • Cheese, celery with cream cheese, tuna, chicken, almonds (not carb-free), hardboiled eggs.

  • I still don't think you should do vigorous ab work everyday, especially if you're trying to lean out, but if you do, make sure you use proper form. As in, elbows wide, neck aligned with your spine. Otherwise, you're setting yourself up for injury. Herniated disc anyone?
  • Pure Protein Bars. Chocolate Peanut Butter is the best. 190 calories, 18 g of protein, low carbs and sugar. Just a word on anything with sugar alcohols though...gas and bloating. I try to limit my intake of anything processed.
  • Nerve, Took a peek at your photos. WTG! 14 days and showing a ton of progress already. It took me around 7 weeks before I started seeing changes. Sounds like you are revved up and ready to Bring IT daily with Team Dude! Yes, those forums are slower than *kitten*...that's why I don't go there often. I can't wait 10 minutes…
  • It isn't necessary to work your abs everyday like that. You don't work all your other muscles to exhaustion every day do you? The only way you'll see your abs is if you drop body fat. You can't spot reduce fat...
  • Are you talking going low for 3 days, higher for 1? Calorie cycling or carbohydrate cycling?
  • How about a 2 egg omelette or scrambled, or 1 egg, 2 egg white omelette with a bowl of oatmeal (1/3 cup dry)? I just find that pairing a protein with a car holds me over more than a carb alone...if I ate just a bowl of cereal my tummy would be rumbling an hour and half later!
  • Hi Nerve! I'll check out your day 0's when I get home today...I'm curious. My day 0's frightened me. I'm still not stoked about my day 60's but it will take me probably 4 more rounds before I'm where I want to be:laugh:  . I love plyo too, in a "man, I love getting my *kitten* kicked today..." lol. Way to go on the…
  • Sigh...I know soy sauce generally has way too much sodium for me to even consider it. I didn't know any nutrition info about the other sauces though so even though I LOVE peanut and chili sauce, I steered clear. Next time I'll stick to lemongrass or ginger water. I guess they do add minimal amounts of sugar to the soy…
  • Your big breakfast is pure carbohydrates...besides the peanut butter, there really isn't much protein. Have you ever tried protein to keep you full longer? Normally simple carbohydrates give you a quick rush of energy but then your blood sugar drops again quickly, making you hungry. Maybe try a hardboiled egg?
  • Good Afternoon everyone! Hope we're all bringing it with the workouts and nutrition. I just had a small downfall...went to flat top grill today for lunch to meet my friend. I put 4 oz beef, 1 cup broccoli, 4 water chesnut slices, 1 tablespoon of onions, and 1/2 cup of mushrooms. Thinking that soy sauce had few carbs, I…
  • Jessica, Soymilk is sweeter and has lower calories, but some people find that it makes it harder for them to lose fat when drinking it. This is because of the high estrogen levels in soymilk, which as you know, is also the hormone that aids in fat storage in humans. Have you ever considered a flavored protein powder…
  • Hey everyone! Hope you are having a good day. As far as the honey...personally I avoid anything with sugar. Sugar is sugar is sugar to me. Sugar alcohols are not good for me either though, because even though they don't have the blood sugar impact, they give me BAD gas. :noway: :noway: Sugar free candy? I'd rather just not…
  • Good Morning everyone! Osmium-personally I do many of my push-ups on my knees as they are still challenging and I like to knock out as many reps as possible on my Shoulders and Arms days. However, I am building up to regular push-ups and that will be my end goal. Once you get REALLY strong, you can use push-up bars and put…
  • Haha Mya that's exactly what I was thinking...however I knew the name so I thought I'd throw it out there...
  • Aww thanks neeter. I still have a LONG way to go though from where I want to be. 158 lbs on a 5'5" frame? :noway: Trying to get that body fat % down too. The thing that made a huge difference for me was weight training. Weights really can change the shape of your body. Or should I say, weight bearing exercises. Push-ups…
  • It's called a danish...
  • Haha I know! Gone and we have 6 new members or something like that. Well folks, no hiding now. I am coming up on Day 60 for my P90X progress pics. Still kind of scary but improvements though minor have been made...posted in the profile. Not sure how to post in threads.
  • Alright thanks! We have had some people inquiring about protein shakes. GNC is a little $$$ for me but I can afford EAS. I've heard much about the 3 and 1....if you don't mind me asking, how much body fat did you cut? From % to %? How long did it take you? I have quite a bit of fat to get down. I probably want to get to…
  • What? I see no answers. did the post get messed up?
  • John, Since you are a bodybuilder (lookin' good!), what brand of whey protein do you use? How often do you take it? Carb/fat/protein ratios? Do you cycle carbs for cutting/gaining mass? I'm not a bodybuilder, but the concepts that bodybuilders use could really help us all out...
  • Ahh yes, that evil word. Hmm, I think most people have heard of it. And they might even sign up for one! But then...nothing. I'm glad you actually make it in there and DO something on top of that. WTG!
  • Well, I don't think your before pics are tragic by any means, but I can see a HUGE difference in your face especially. And you just look happier in your new pics. That's the whole goal anyway! WTG! :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: (Of course, not real alcohol. Maybe a seltzer on the rocks with lime wedges?) I hope you feel…
  • Neeter you look gorgeous! I can see your nice collarbone in the second pic. Way to go! I bet you knocked their socks off...
  • Oh JB, You really are a comedian, aren't you?  I'm sure you didn't get that physique by eating 100 calorie pack oreos...I could be wrong though.
  • :noway: :noway: :noway: Someone's been doing some recruiting while I've been gone! (4 hours? ) Glad to have some more people on board. To answer some of the questions I saw... -None of us are on the same plan. I think most of us are a fan of Beachbody products, even if we're not doing them. We have runners, Hip Hop…
