Are you weighing your food to be certain that you are eating 1,500 calories a day? If you are exercising, you may should eat at the recommended calorie goal to keep from feeling hungry all the time and make adjustments as needed. Also, as you lose weight your daily calorie goal will decrease to help you reach your goal…

I like to switch it up with running outside, using my elliptical, or the rower at the gym for cardio. I add in yoga, kettlebells, and using the machines at the gym to even it out. The best cardio is doing something that you enjoy and will stick with, which is why I switch it up to keep from getting bored. Exercise for your…

Try websites like cleaneatingmag and skinnytaste for some recipes to try to cut some calories from your meals without having to pay for a cookbook. Buy some foods that are healthier for you that you know you will eat, but won't go to waste if you don't eat them in a few days. Try making healthier choices each day and…

MFP already calculates your calorie based on you not exercising. It is ok to eat part of your exercise calories back. I wouldn't eat back more than 1/2 if it is based on MFP estimates. You may find that after too many days several calories below goal you may get really hungry! The other concern would be that you are not…

This is awesome advice! Also, start slow and make small changes that you can make last a lifetime. For example, I switched from hand tossed pizza loaded with pepperoni, sausage, and extra cheese to a thin crust mushroom (sometimes with pepperoni). I save hundreds of calories this way, but I still get to have my pizza.…

@KristenMarie1181 I use a polar HRM to get a better estimate of my calorie burns than what MFP gives me. It always grossly exaggerates my calorie burn. That is part of the reason that I don't log my exercise calories and worry more about staying under my calorie goal, and I have a tendency to want to overeat because I have…

Sounds more like a strength training or toning session than a cardio workout and the calorie burn is probably going to be lower. Do you know how long you worked out? Great job on your workout today! :)

Have you tried massage therapy for the fibromyalgia? It has helped me tremendously! I don't know if you would be ready for yoga yet because of the foot pain, but I think it would definitely help you with the hip and back issues. Swimming may be another good option for you since it is low impact. Good luck to you and you…

I decided to start running everyday about a month ago and my legs have been hurting a little, but that is probably due to the massive increase of steps at work (easily doubled) in the last few weeks. I started with a 1/2 mile run everyday and two longer runs (about 2 miles) during the week, and I am now working on 3/4 of…

I agree with using the Enell bras! They are pricey, but definitely worth it. I am a 42G right now and I wear them for yoga and running. There are a few poses that the girls are in the way, especially a forward fold while seated (feel like the girls are trying to smother me), but I try to do the pose the best that I can to…

You are looking awesome! Congratulations on a job well done. :-)

I will give it a whirl, even though my roomie will hate it!

I agree that you need to talk to your therapist about how you honestly feel about your body and find some ways for you to turn those negative thoughts into motivation for yourself. Here are some ideas that may help you: ** I think you also need to break your weight loss goals into smaller more manageable goals. For…

I have had this problem before too. A couple of fixes that work for me since I have the Loop or the Polar Beat app that I can sync to on my phone (my preferred method): 1. This scenario has been my biggest problem when my HRM wouldn't pair with my device! Make sure if you are wanting to use the phone app that your HRM is…

Try skinnytaste.com and cleaneatingmag.com for some healthy recipes to find some new ideas for you and your family. The fiber one brownies are tastier that I thought they would be!

Maybe add some protein powder to the smoothies, avocados are higher calorie, maybe string cheese, add peanut butter, granola, and nuts to your yogurt, and maybe salads with olive oil dressings. Sometimes I like to cut up a fresh tomato and cucumber into small chunks add basil, salt, pepper, and olive oil then refrigerate…

You may need to go shopping with a friend that you trust to tell you how clothes look on you. I lost about 60 pounds and I had to find new clothes because nothing fit. One of my co-workers will tell me whenever I wear anything if I need to toss it because it is too big and doesn't look good on me. It may take some trial…

@katecat27 the mom's group have women of different ages and running abilities looking to find safety in numbers when running. Many will post when they want to run and other ladies show up if it fits in their schedule. It may help you to find a few people that you can count on to go running with you to help you feel safe…

I know how you feel! Write your measurements down in a little book to look over when you get frustrated. It is amazing how inspiring it can be when you see the progress you have made over a few short months!

See if there is a local running group in your area or a "Moms Run This Town" Facebook group in your area that you can join. I found a running group in my small town and absolutely love it! The Moms group is women looking for running partners to prevent having to run alone and sometimes will do group runs too. The group in…

I am a 42G and think that I may need to get measured again because my bras are not fitting in the band anymore. I may be a 40H. :(

I am struggling to lose weight in my stomach - love handle area too, but I keep trying to eat at a calorie deficit and jog everyday for a half mile. I do a yoga - pilates class and volleyball once a week, and try to do strength training at least twice a week. I have lost a few inches in this area over the last several…

I still eat pizza, ice cream, chocolate, and chips and I still lose because I make sure they fit into my calorie limits. I don't always feel as good eating those foods as I would healthier, less processed foods but sometimes when you want a Snickers ice cream bar you have a Snickers ice cream bar!

Start slowly! Do not set your calorie goal to something that makes you miserable and want to quit everyday. This is a marathon and not a sprint to see how quickly you can lose the weight. Try to walk everyday for 20 minutes and as you get fitter and that seems easy add in other exercises that you enjoy and some strength…

Congratulations on the 28 pound loss, that is awesome! I agree with Happycampr1 that you need to re-check your calorie allotment because you might need to be eating less calories on a daily basis since you weigh less. Also, are you weighing all of your foods? When you have more to lose you can get by with not weighing…

You can't really spot reduce to target certain areas. you will need to make sure that you are eating at a calorie deficit to help get rid of any fat that may be hiding your abs, then you could try core strengthening moves like planks, superman, hundreds, flutter kicks, and more to develop your ab muscles.

Pineapples and mango! I cut them into one inch chunks and put them on a skewer to grill for a few minutes. Absolutely love grilled pineapple!
