You may need to create a support group to help you, that you feel is truly encouraging. My significant other refuses to work out with me and it can be discouraging at times not to have someone to workout with. I joined a local running group and now have a network of encouraging friends who have similar fitness goals as me.…

Have you tried Spotify's workout playlists? I can find songs there that I can add to my own workout lists and this helps to keep it fresh. You can do this for free, but have to listen to ads and stream the music unless you want to pay for a subscription. It may he a good place to start to give you some ideas for new songs.

You need to make sure your net calories (amount of calories from food minus the calories burned from exercise) is more than 1200 for females and 1500 for males. Your plan has you netting 100 calories a day which can lead to serious and possibly life threatening health problems. With 45 pounds to lose you need to set your…

Are you weigjing your food to get accurate calorie counts? It is best to weigh yourself when you first wake up after you go to the bathroom and try to stick to the same time every time you weigh to get a better idea of your weight. As the day goes on you will weigh more and you will typically weigh more after a workout,…

The Yoga Journal website had a 21 day Yoga Challenge for beginner's a couple of years ago and you can still find it online sometimes on YouTube. They had different videos for different body parts and did a great job explaining the poses and where you should be feeling the stretch at. Also you may want to invest in a few…

I try to eat Greek vanilla yogurt with some PB2 mixed in because it sits light on my stomach and I don't bonk during my workout. I try to eat that about 60 -90 minutes before my workout. If I eat too much or certain foods, I have found that they give me serious heartburn! After strength training, I try to eat my dinner…

I am overweight (I need to lose another 60 pounds to be considered at a healthy BMI) and have built up to running a mile everyday. I make sure to do dynamic stretches before I start running, taking it slow ( I was being passed by people walking when I first started), trying to enjoy it (some days I love it and other days…

I love the Xersion brand from JC Penney's and you can usually catch it on sale. I have had some of that stuff for years and you can't wear it out! (Trust me, I've tried) Dunham's sporting goods has athletic wear on sale too. I highly recommend the UnderArmour Heat Gear 5 inch middy shorts if you are prone to your legs…

Awesome job! I think it is fantastic that you used their idiocy to fuel your desire to become healthier. Many times people let things like that stand in the way of their own greatness. Thank you for sharing and inspiring many people to keep on working towards their goals no matter what others may think!

Definitely invest in a digital food scale and weigh out all of your foods to get a better idea of how many calories you are consuming. I struggled at first because I relied on the serving size of pre-packaged stuff to be accurate and it was almost always more than what I thought it was! Also, if you just started working…

Sorry you are having to go through this. Sending hugs your way and I hope that you do not let him derail all of your hard work.

I loosen the reins on vacation a little bit, but still try to make smart choices most days and eat at maintenance calories. For example, I make my own breakfast and lunch to keep track of the calories but will have grilled fish, veggies, water, and a yummy dessert, or a delicious entree and split dessert with someone. I…

Workout clothes, fitness gear and gadgets, some delicious food at a fancy place that I generally don't go to, and road trips. I love to travel! The money I save by cooking instead of eating out goes towards camping trips or hotel stays in a city that I haven't explored before. Also, I reward myself by signing up for new…

When I did C25K on the treadmill I adjusted the incline about 1.5% percent to help mimic the slight road elevation. I joined a running group around the time that I reached the 4th week of C25K and have been running outside ever since because the treadmill bores me! The road has been harder on my legs and knees than a…

Try JC Penney's workout section and catch them on sale or clearance. I receive 2 $10 off coupons each month from them and use them to buy workout gear for cheap. Also, try Dunham's Sporting Goods for some of those tanks.

I usually have a greek yogurt vanilla with pb2 about 90 minutes before I run or workout because it gives me energy and doesn't sit heavy on my stomach. If I eat more than that, or closer to workout time, I end up feeling sick and having horrible heartburn every time! I usually always eat some tart cherries and walnuts…

I am not in your area, but you can send me a friend request if you like. I log everyday and am typically an encouraging person :)

You can try Youtube for videos on how to use the equipment, do some body weight exercises in your apartment, walk up the stairs instead of the elevator if possible, or continue to take your dog for long walks and start adding some light jogging into the mix to up the calorie burn (30 second jog with a four minute rest and…

Yeah, they are considered to burn less calories than cardio and harder to determine a calorie burn. Some people may use a 3-4 calories burned per minute to calculate, but most just log it and don't worry about the calories burned and consider them a bonus.

Restistance bands, kettlebells (look at living fit revolution website for workouts), and a jump rope can give you an awesome at home workout without investing a lot of money or taking up a lot of space. @_reno_ gave you some great body weight exercises that you can do too! I started a workout the other day were I did…

Take your measurements (chest, biceps, waist, hips, and thighs) to use for motivation when the scale is slow to move. I typically take mine every 3-4 weeks and many times when I have only lost a pound or two in a few weeks I have lost inches. Buy a digital food scale and weigh everything that you eat and log everything as…

Try to find activities that you enjoy (like the spinning classes) and do those, don't make yourself miserable by doing activities that you truly hate. You may want to add some jogging into the walking to get your heart rate up for the cardio benefits. I bought a stand for my bike that basically holds it in place and I bike…

It could be water retention from salty foods, weighing yourself later in the day will cause you to weigh more than in the morning, that time of your month can cause significant weight gain, if you have recently started exercising and weight training your body will appear heavier because of water and other nutrients needed…

The Couch25k app by Zen Labs is free and a good start. You could look into joining a beginner's running group in your area (what I did and they pushed me when I doubted myself), or look on Facebook to see if there is a "Moms Run This Town" group in your area. Many of the members meet up to run together for safety and for…

I had to start slow before it became comfortable and easier for me, which I was also 100+ pounds more than I needed to be. I started by building a walking base, being able to walk a couple of miles at once without feeling winded or my legs screaming in revolt. It was probably a 3 mph pace or a touch more. Then I started…

What are your stats? (Height, current weight, goal, weight, age) What calorie allowance did MFP give you to use to lose weight? MFP is set up for you to lose weight without exercising, and you will need to eat back 1/3 - 1/2 of the exercise calories back that you get from MFP (grossly exaggerated by MFP) or a heart rate…
