At least you have a doctor, so that is a good thing. Let me say though that if you are in fact, exercising every day (like going out of your way to do a lot), your TDEE is likley higher than 1800 to 1900.. I've been surprised since acquiring my Fitbit to see my TDEE is actually more around 2500 to 2900.. I never really…

Just keep in mind doing all that is likely to increase the number on the scale. This is why scales suck. Muscle is more dense, so it is heavier in a smaller volume.. but fat is more voluminous, and this is why we'd rather have muscle. So as long as the measurements are good and you like the way you look, ignore the number…

Mine are 16.33 inches.. I hate it. I LOVE knee high boots etc! When I was in high school I intentionally asked to be relocated to another area of my job which had me going up and down stadium stairs over and over to AVOID the big calves. Now, I have been living on the 4th floor of a building with a steep winding staircase…

All that exercise and netting under 1200 cals? You won't lose weight much longer and you won't burn fat. Up the cals. Eat at a deficit of TDEE and NOT under BMR (basically the cals it would take to sustain you if you only laid in bed all day). Doing ALL that exercise and eating so little will just destroy the crap out of…

Telling myself 'no'. Deprivation often leads to binges. :x I do try to stay away from soda though but mainly because I prefer to EAT my calories rather than drink them :x

It's the only way I started losing weight! O_o before that I was trying to eat like 1200 ish and nothing was happening.. then I started gaining >.> TDEE with a deficit is long term sustainable and encourages you to burn fat as opposed to muscle. I highly recommend it. I'd give you my cals but it is different for everyone…

Oh no point arguing in these threads. People will eat 1200 cals anyway let them. All that matters are TDEE and BMR, eat between then and you are fine. Eat below BMR then hit plateau, get stuck and have to eat even less to lose weight, eventually unmanageable. Burn muscle instead of fat. Yay. 1200 cal is NOT enough for MOST…

10? I'll be amused to see what people say XD

I'm only gonna agree with the 1200 cal thing. That is lower than MOST people's BMR. You shouldn't be eating under that (unless there is a medical reason). But the 1200 cal and less people aren't going to listen, so no point beating a dead horse, if it is under their BMR, let them ruin their metabolism.. I've been there,…

You get right back on. It is all you can do really and the better long term solution. Don't beat yourself up!

I ate around that much and STOPPED losing weight.. good ol plateau then started gaining. When I started eating around 1600ish+ a day did I start losing. ~1200 cals is lower than most people's BMR which you should NOT be eating less than unless you're on some special medically advised diet, did gastric bypass, lap band or…

Rejects. But I didn't give a crap. Hated the cheerleaders and jocks because they were shallow and superficial. Same for the preps. Not cool enough to be a stoner, but hung out with some. Not smart enough to be a nerd, but hung out with some too. TBH I was happy in my little group. I did what I wanted and didn't care if…

Maybe he doesn't have a ton of money to throw around on exercise clothes. Maybe something happened to them, or maybe he just doesn't give a Sh- and neither should you.

OK I will look. Problem is that the last week or so logging has been pure crap on some days due to the fact that I haven't been home and have had to eat out or at peoples' homes where I have no idea what I'm eating. So accuracy on consumed cals is not so great. I also didn't check-in on measurements etc though I do weigh…
-
I would say it is the opposite.. it seems there have to be people to PROVE that you CAN lose weight withOUT clean eating because every time you see a post about healthy "clean" eating it is always saying things like "OMG I can't believe you would put that crap you in your body" or "You can't expect to consume things like…

People tend to get pissed off when they hear they've been depriving themselves for nothing. To them, weight-loss takes a miracle and requires OBSCENE willpower! No one can be thin and not ever go to some extreme (diet, exercise or otherwise). Yes, most of us got overweight by going crazy and/or being lazy etc, but I'm much…

For me it is usually my age. I'm much younger in my head, but I'm actually 29. Honestly I don't think I look that young but I've been told that when I don't wear make up and straighten my hair I look 14 -_- (http://instagram.com/p/kolbfBF8hN/#) I guess it could be worse? XD

Sounds like he is just looking for free food. He comes to your place eats all your food and leaves when there is none? He does the same elsewhere? It's also easy for him to criticize you when he eats everything and gains nothing. You have to eat to lose weight, not eating is just going to mess up your metabolism worse and…

MFP tends to say people burn more than they actually do. I know I also had a really messed up stationary bike that used to tell me I burned 400 cals in 15 minutes.. Only accurate thing is a HRM

Have you considered IUDs? I'm on Mirena a hormone IUD. I had it 5 years and last year got a new one put in (they last 5 years) and I've managed to lose weight with it. I also don't get periods anymore which makes me happy, but I know some women do have problems.

You body learns to adjust to low calorie diets, it is the over-exaggeratedly named (and claimed mythical by those doing it, but scientifically proven to exist) "starvation mode". It leads to quick plateaus that then lead to gaining (I've been there more than once). I suggest you find out 2 very important numbers: TDEE…

Harder apparently.. I just finished watching this documentary >.< "Once the body undergoes weight reduction, it begins to respond as if it were being threatened with imminent death. The body will defend the fat and try to drive you BACK to the weight from which you started." http://youtu.be/2i_cmltmQ6A

EXACTLY what I was thinking. I was wondering if he made a mistake and meant more? SURELY he meant more.. I mean otherwise it just perpetuates the problem..
-
If you use MFP as intended, yes you are supposed to eat them back.. otherwise your deficit is too big :/ Just keep in mind like BigTireFlippe said, MFP majorly overestimates calories burned, so probably wouldn't eat ALL of them back if you're using MFP to tell you how many you burned. If you use another more precise method…

My breakfast (unless I run out or have something "special"); English breakfast tea with milk + sugar and some honey with milk cereal cookie things.

You won't. I've lost nearly 10 lbs (recently, not to count previous weighloss) and my waist to hip ratio is still .69. (personally, it kind of annoys me, but it is who I am) Hip curves generally come from your bones anyway :p http://www.healthstatus.com/calculate/waist-to-hip-ratio

The coffee filters is surprising to me! O_o LOL what's wrong with old fashioned tissues? Unless I'm misunderstanding what they were used for.
