Yes, I would have helped. I do things like that all the time.

^^^^^ So true! When my girls were young, they used to tell people that their mom is Italian and their dad is Texan.

I'm in the 'burbs and stay on the sidewalk except to run past walkers. I believe that sidewalks are for pedestrians, the road is for vehicles.

Yeah, plenty of double standards. You have awesome socks, and awesome ink!

Outliving my usefulness, and not being able to take care of myself.

I think Y'all is a Southern thing, and I know it's a Texas thang! Not a thing, a thang. By the way, Texas is not part of the South. Texas is just Texas, the former Republic of Texas and therefore much bigger than the South. :) If you don't believe me, ask any Texan. Other terms that have the same meaning as Y'all Youse...…

I drink beer, not low calorie swill. I agree with the brewers at Stone Brewing Company; "fizzy, yellow beer is for wussies!" I'll gladly run longer, lift more, whatever to earn my good beer. IPA's, Stouts, Doppelbocks, Weizenbocks, Porters... love them all, but anything with the word "light", "lite", or "Ultra" has no…

Often times a compliment is just a compliment. Believe it or not, there are still a few gentlemen around.

I don't cut back, and I don't drink anything with the word "light" of "lite" on the label. My "average" week has me drinking around 15 beers. Always on Wednesday night, usually a couple on Thursday, then the rest are on Fri, Sat, Sun. I do exercise every day. EVERY DAY. Sometimes its only a 15 minute walk and 100 push ups,…

Outstanding! Congratulations! I'm planning to run an HM this year. I'd love to hear how you guys trained for the race.

Pizza is my kryptonite. Like the old Lays Potato Chip commercials, I just can't eat one slice. Almost any food in the moderation, and in the right proportion is okay.
-
I use it pretty regularly and have found it to be accurate and easy to use.

I'm not a morning person, but I am a morning workout person. If I wait until after work, something comes up, or I talk myself out of it, or whatever. If I get up and get it done, then its done and I feel a sense of accomplishment. At the gym this morning at 6:30 for my boxing class. Now I'm done for the day except for…

Too many gastronomic feats to list. In my 20's I was asked to leave multiple buffets. WTH? All you can eat, is all you can eat, right?

I have two favorites, the Veggie and the Tuna. I always get a 12 inch on wheat bread with Swiss cheese. I get all of the veggies on both sandwiches, including the spinach and the peppers. Light mayo on the tuna, spicy mustard and chipotle sauce on the veggie. Jeez, now I'm hungry and it's only 10:40am. :)

Wowsa! Great job!

My best pal, Zodog aka the cutest dog ever!

When I was married I never wore my ring in the gym, for multiple reasons. The knurling on the bars scratch the heck out of jewelery, particularly soft gold. I never liked the way my grip felt on a bar when I was wearing a ring and there was always the possibility of catching it on something and causing an injury. I would…

Thank God for self check out lanes.

20lbs makes a big difference. Congratulations and keep up the good work!

20lb dumbbell. 1 x 40, 2 x 30. Harder than I had anticipated.

You could send that story into Reader's Digest, they pay money for that! Great job!

Yes, you CAN!!! Great job!

I'm in.

And its great in salad, too! I like to keep celery on hand for my salads, and I like to spread homemade tuna salad on it. Great tip on the aluminum foil, I'll definitely try that. Cheers!

Night time eating has been (and still is) my biggest obstacle to maintaining my weight. A previous poster suggested saving some calories for the evening hours, and I concur with them. You may also try eating something that you enjoy, but has fewer calories and is filling. Un-buttered popcorn and lots of water, apples and…

That's awesome! I had a similar experience a couple of years ago, so I know how great you're feeling about. Keep up the good work!

Now that it's just me and my daughter, we sort of eat on the run. I prepare most of my meals, and will occasionally cook for both of us. When me ex lived with us, she did 98% of the cooking (quite well, too) and I cleaned up and did all of the grocery shopping. I always felt that shopping and cleaning were a small price to…

My first, and thus far only tat. It's a daily reminder that I need to have balance in my life. Cheers!
