I started it a little bit ago and I love it. I have never done a ketosis-inducing diet so the first day I had a raging migrain. Word of caution: DO YOUR RESEARCH. You do not have to follow the diet perfectly, but not getting it right (I.e. Cheating often) could lead to weight gain and serious health problems. It's…

Okay, but I really think that if you're still not losing weight.... it has nothing to do with eating a serving of pineapples each day.
-
You're really doing well. I can see why you'd want to know what you're doing wrong, as whatever it is, it's not obvious at all. Thus, you're not doing anything "wrong," but we might just have to figure out how you can improve. What kind of exercise are you doing? What is your weight loss goal set to on My Fitness Pal…

ME! I eat 1800 calories a day :)

If you like pineapples, please eat them. Unless you are a diabetic, pineapples are good for you (diabetics would have to watch the sugar/carbs but they could still eat them in moderation). Benefits of pineapples: high in manganese (critical to bone health--one cup of pineapples gives you 75% your daily recommended amount…

I have scrambled egg whites every day, and I actually make them in the microwave. As much as I hate relying on the microwave, it means I don't have to use any oil. The won't be as fluffy, but I don't really eat them for the taste or consistency, just for the protein.

haha I'm cracking up at the idea that strawberries slow your metabolism. Berries of all kinds are SO good for you (Strawberries in particular are packed with antioxidants like vitamin C, ellagic acid and flavanoids that are good for your heart, phytochemicals that decrease joint inflammation, potassium that helps decrease…

Looks good to me. Seems like you try to have balanced meals--a protein, a starch, and vegetable and you have fruits as snacks. That's the way to do it in my book! Looks like your averaging an intake of around 1500-1600 a day and exercising regularly. I mean I just don't see why you wouldn't lose weight! Some people will…

Yes, it's often called a "spike day" in the fitness world, but programs like weight watchers usually refer to it as a cheat day. They are similar concepts. That's why I don't like the word "cheat"... it sounds like you are doing something wrong. I think it's supposed to be a day where you just eat more, and maybe have one…

I'm a dance instructor and about to become a turbo kick instructor. My advice is to experiment with the suggestions of others. One of them is bound to work (as long as it seems reasonable and realistic and healthy of course). Since I'm active for my part-time job (teaching dance classes), I don't really count that as…

You don't have to trust the process... do it first and see if it works.

I call them "treat" days just because it sounds more positive and less like I'm doing something wrong (because I'm not). I don't do fasting days only because a) I don't believe in ever depriving myself (especially not for the sake a few pounds) and b) I'd worry about cravings and binging afterward I don't really know if…

Except for the beer (I just don't drink), this is pretty much how I do it. It prevents cravings and feelings of guilt but I also feel satisfied because I choose foods throughout the week that I both enjoy and are good for me, and I don't go nuts on the weekends.

As far as I understand it, eating clean can still mean eating processed foods (like brown rice for example), just not chemically altered foods or foods with artificial ingredients. But as far as I understand it, eating clean doesn't have to be 100% of the time either... because that would be practically impossible in…

Generally speaking I eat clean. I've read and made a lot of the recipes and followed a lot of the tips from Tosca Reno's book The Eat Clean Diet. However, I don't make any hard and fast, all or nothing rules. For example, today I had a skinny cow candy bar (I also had a granola bar come to think of it). I know skinny cow…

I'm shocked no one has given a definitive "no." I guess I just don't approach weight loss with the philosophy of what I can't eat but rather with the philosophy of all the foods that I CAN eat (and never really ate before). I also wouldn't want to give up the increased energy, positivity, clear skin, healthy hair and…

There is a difference between eating 900 calories a day, and then binging once a week on 3,000 calories, (which is what many people "dieting" do) and eating 200 calories a day with limited fresh water and lack of vitamins (which is what starving people do).

How many men are reading this and shaking their head lol I've had several men tell me I looked better with the extra weight and I'm 100% sure it was due to my former double d's haha... I guess what I'm saying is, if you don't like them...someone else probably does :)

It's not an insult... it's nothing personal. Different strokes for different folks.

I didn't think of that option.. but I don't know that I'd be motivated enough to stick to my healthy lifestyle... hmmm...

Get a part-time job to make $600 and continue doing what your doing in terms of your health and fitness. Let's say you sacrifice your metabolism and lose a lot of weight, but someone else still wins and you don't get the money. Now you're going to gain weight and feel like crap. I could be bias though...Losing weight…

This is especially true for fast food places and chains like Cheesecake Factory, TGI Friday's, Applebee's, etc... Here are 5 salads that have more calories than a whopper: Wendy's BLT Cobber -- 740 calories, 15.5 grams saturated fat Quizno's Chicken Caeser Flatbread Salad -- 920 calories, 20.5 grams of saturated fat…

hmmm... are you following the nutrition guide? I'm on week 4 and have lost a total of 4 pounds, so far. I think I lost 2 within the first week. I'm not following the MFP calorie recommendation anymore, but I'm sticking to the 1800 calories a day that P90X recommends for me (they have a formula you have to do). It might…

6 days a week (sometimes 7, but one day is easier like yoga). Time varies, but usually not early in the morning as I can't seem to get to the level of intensity I usually do. And I try not to work out late at night because the adrenaline keeps me awake at night.

Victoria secret is great, especially when I was a size DD and needed an underwire (now that I'm a C, I'll probably still need under wire since there has been some "drop" since I've lost weight lol). The padding is always removable and you can mix and match and choose what style bottom works for you. When you order online,…

Yup!! Enjoy it while it lasts. That is the beauty of early weight loss. Setting the your goal to one pound a week was a GREAT choice because it's the healthiest way to do it, and in the beginning it's never just one pound a week. Your metabolism thanks you :)

lol now I want cake!! haha

Everyone has done this. It happens. You made a mistake. You'll probably still be your same weight tomorrow. Was it at least good!???

Your weight loss is exactly what it should be. This may help give you a better idea of what to expect on this journey (hint: it's not overnight results) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/9433-expectations
