The whole thing about blood sugar stability...I am a school nurse at a high school and have access to a onetouch monitor... I test my blood sugar in the am -70's. I have but I am cycling it. I will have 3 days in the week I'll do 1200, sometimes less but not by much(today I was 3 cals shy of 1200) , 3 days I'll go up to 1600 and then one day I do 2000. I did a transformation contest...where I dropped all my cardio. Prior to that I hit a wall..nothing was working. I decided to concentrate on lifting... I now make lifting my "main course". Cardio is just my dessert.

Lift weights...like yesterday! Seriously. Lift weights..NOW! You will not regret it. I do no cardio at all. None. Yet People ask me all the time if I run...nope. Weights alone can and will cause great change.

I find after a really intense workout..especially if I get DOMS, I will go up a pound or two...(inflammation + water!). It's transient. It will go away. I doubt it's 1 lb of muscle. get off the machines. ;) Seriously. I never saw any great gains even "lifiting to fatigue" on a machine. Just look at the women who use machines vs. the women in the free weight area who are SERIOUSLY lifting. I bet 9 times out of 10 the woman lifting the free weights look much better. I was thinking the same thing. HOw hard were you lifting? And maybe if you switched what you did...weights 5x, cardio 3x..you would see different body recomp? Just a suggestion. But also what someone else said.. maybe your mind hasn't caught up yet!

Well I am 5'3 and I go up and down days. Some days lower than 1200 and some days over 1600. It depends on my activity level. I also don't do any cardio so me eating 1200 suits me fine. Don't know about that. My great grandma (r.i.p) smoked every day, all day, which is far worse than eating poptarts. Woman lived to be 102. So i think me eating a poptart evey now and then won't kill me. Plus I never eat them for breakfast. EVER. But I'll eat them for dinner.

As a fruitarian...I ate mostly bananas and dates. Smetimes a whole case of DATES at a time.... I was pretty dumb back in the day.
