Yes, it can be done. I lost nearly 50 pounds and carried most of my weight on my belly (I looked like I was 6 months pregnant and had large moobs!) This was me before I found MFP, I lost around 3 stone on my own and felt great for around 2 months, 6 months later I have gained it all back plus another half stone for good measure! The problem was a simple one, when the diet ended I went back to my old ways, in other words I never learned anything! Fast forward to now; I…

Hi Folks, I am a 34 year old Scotsman and have been a keen gamer for years. I have been on MFP since September 2011 and log every day, I reached my goal in April 2012 and had been successfully maintaining since then but have managed to gain 5lb over the x-mas period which will be coming off over the next 2 months. I have…

I lost 49 pounds eating whatever I wanted and I drank like a fish at the weekend, I just ate and drank less than I use to and moved more ;-)

@ZealousMissJJ - Most likely to raise a Scotsmans blood pressure loking through your pictures ;-) On a serious note though a lady most likely to know what she wants in life :)

Haha not far off, mostly staved fingers, dislocated shoulder, twisted pelvis, cracked ribs, shattered and broken teeth (all fixed as I like to have nice teeth) and numerous grazes, scrapes and bruises...

Most likely to stay determined and inspire others :)

Hi, I am Alan and live just outside Edinburgh :) I have been effectively maintaining since April 2012 and lost 49 pounds using the site. I have been slacking a bit lately and have allowed nearly 5 pounds to creep back on so will have to get strict again in January... Feel free to add me anyone, I enjoy having friends from…

I lost the majority of my weight with walking, I did 3 to 4 miles 5 times a week and ate at a reasonable deficit (circa 100 to 150 under my BMR), I ate back my exercise calories when I was hungry, if not I banked them for an indulgent weekend :)

8 based on your current picture, 10 for sure on your middle one ;-)

THIS! For sure, I can't believe the number of people who know Jack *kitten* and feel compelled to comment and bring people down by doing so. Check out my pics in my profile, I had a massive belly (thats where most of my body fat ends up) and through a combination of slight deficit (no more than a pound a week reducing to…

This was me, I did this a good few years back on my own (never knew MFP existed), lots of hard work and determination and lost around 40 pounds in a relatively short period of time. I felt great for a few months, but I never learned anything, when the 'diet' ended I reverted back to my old ways and piled all the weight…

This site works if you stick to the plan, I set my profile up as sedentary, log any exercise and eat back most of my calories. I lost an average of a pound per week and with nothing more strenuous for the first 35 pounds than walking. Good luck, you can do it :)

Check my diary, I eat lots of bread and enjoy rice also, to get rid of belly fat you need to lower your body fat %, you cant spot reduce areas. Good luck :)

Hi, this may have already been said as I have not had time to read through all the replies, so apologise in advance if I repeat something. If you are here in the UK then go to your doctor, tell them you want to quit smoking and they will prescribe you patches and gum for the normal cost of a prescription (not sure how much…
