Hi, You are the same height, build and slightly lighter than I was when I started out here. I ate at circa 1400 calories per day to start with and ate back most of my exercise calories (if I was hungry) or 'banked' them for the weekend. I never denied myself anything I wanted and went out to the pub virtually every…

Hi from just outside Edinburgh, been on here since September 2011 and log every day. I have reached my goal (bar a few extra pounds that slipped on over the festive period) but continue to log to maintain and support my friends :)
-
Winning :drinker: Congratulations on reaching your goal, good luck with maintenance

The snowboarding for sure, I think because I BMX I appreciate how difficult it is more than some people who have never tried an extreme sport :) I appreciate most of the sports though and enjoy watching them.

The boy is seven, my three year old has a leap pad (age appropriate) and my one year old can open my iPhone and play videos on YouTube...

Looks like the fun police are in town! FYI, my father introduced us to gaming from around the same age (on an Amstrad CPC464). My homework was done, I was in bed on time and I passed all my exams at school. I think that all comes under the topic 'general parenting' ;-)

Nintendo WiiU, cheaper and more age appropriate games. They also encourage activity (Wii Sports, Fit etc) and all the family can get involved. Happy choosing, Alan (Avid gamer and owner of several consoles)

I have a Polar FT4 ad it is fairly accurate, however, even the most accurate HRM's are only 75% accurate when calculating calories burned from exercise. As for the realisation that you can suddenly eat a lot more now that you have discovered this fact, I would say tread with extreme caution. if you were gradually losing or…

Every guy is different, I don't think there is a definitive list of do's and don’ts, just relax and go with the flow. A :) Ps, talking about what colour your bridesmaid dresses will be on the wedding may fall into the don’ts category lol

That I would not want to pi$$ her off ;-)

This goes hand in hand with the 'HELP' posts. Help, I am not losing weight and I am logging everything... Well actually, no you are not. If it passes your lips then you should make an allowance in your diary for it. At the end of the day you are only cheating yourself if you eat more than you log. Good luck :)

There is 2 chances that he will do time, slim and none! He will get a slap on the wrists at best.

Pet Peeve: Tardiness or disorganised people Phobia: Heights (problematic as I work as a surveyor in the construction industry and have to climb scaffolds etc) Oddities: I have mild OCD with numbers (nature of my job), for example today is day 872 in a row of logging in on MFP lol

2nd from the left, top row - love your piercings ;-)

Thanks man, the hard work is worth it in the end. I have been maintaining now since April 2012 and still use the site daily. I went from a 35" waist to a 28" waist but my trousers hung under the beer belly!

I have throat chopped someone to defend myself (I did Karate for years). Will you reward yourself with a treat when you reach your goal?
-
Hello, yes it is. Bar my little 5lb gain over x-mas I have been maintaining (+ or - 2lb from goal) since April 2012. Start by adding just 100 cals a week until you find a level that works. It is of course not an exact science but you will enjoy the extra leeway it gives you - good luck :)
