You all are funny, Sure, people that are overweight can run. That was not the question of the thread. The question was, will running when overweight hurt my knee's. I'm way overweight myself, I could run, but why would I when can get the same benefit out of different exercises and reduce the harm to my knee's. Bicycle…

Well, I would not suggest running if your over 30 pounds overweight. It is going to really beat up your knee's. But if you must, get a good pair of running shoes fit for you from a running store.

He is somewhat right. Strength training, lets you get more muscle which in turn would burn more calories over the day. But what he should of sold you on was the intensity of the cardio, because you can build muscle with cardio. Look up HIIT cardio exercises.

To break my soda habit, I switched to coffee. Instead of opening a soda, go to a coffee shop or brew up some at the house. In order to quit, you have to break the caffeine addiction.

I personally use them only when I use the rowing machine. Have used them in the past for lifting. But not using them helps develop your grip.

Tuna/chicken/beans Just be careful of sodium levels. Do not get deli meats, they are loaded with sodium.

If time is the issue, then do the higher intensity exercises. Jump roping, you can easily burn 11 calories per minute (calories go up fast for higher intensity). It's mobile can do it anywhere, and its cheap.

Just do it! Is the squat rack against a wall? Put your butt on the side of the wall so you can see if anyone is looking at you. If you notice someone looking to much, complain to the staff at your gym. They will take care of it.
