Hang in there! It does get better and easier. As someone who never thought they would survive on the calorie count that MFP put me on, after a while, you learn to love vegetables and fruit (easiest ways to feel full without taking in a ton of calories) and avoid the junk. Also, when you get to the point where you lose all…

I'm feel the same way. Granted, I only have 2 friends currently on MFP. But I'm on here most of the time because if I'm logged on, I have no excuse to not log that bag of chips I was mindlessly snacking on at work (oops...). I think mutual accountability would be helpful for me too.

Ok, I think I'm a borderline Ms. "All Business". I use free weights, kettlebells, maybe one of two weight machines for about 25-30 minutes, then I'm on the treadmill running for about 30-45 minutes. I have cute-ish workout clothes that I got for cheap at Target and Walmart but absolutely NO MAKEUP. Why bother, when in the…

Thanks to everyone for their help. I think to drive the point home, yesterday I was kind of forced to walk on the treadmill instead of run after doing several weighted squats and lunges beforehand. I still got in some cardio (raised heart beat and even breaking a sweat) all while enjoying a hockey game on the treadmill's…

For me, it is definitely "Run the World (Girls)" by Beyonce. That song makes me feel like I do anything!

Haha, I wish on the more sleep! I am consistently running on 6-6.5 hours of sleep (oh the life of a full-time worker and a part-time grad student). But the other suggestions have been helpful. I did give up coffee for Lent a couple years ago and drank a lot of tea but it didn't quite have the caffeine kick I needed. I'll…

Just out of curiosity, is there another healthy hot cereal alternative to oatmeal? I only ask because I have a texture issue with oatmeal (not to be gross but the chunkiness of it reminds me of vomit) and I just can't bring myself to eat it. Is there something out there for someone like me? Loving the other suggestions…

I guess for specific foods, I'd say Herr's Cheese Popcorn (if left to my own devices, I could legit eat a whole family size bag in one sitting), and seasonal "family gathering" foods. Like ribs, potato salad, seafood salad at BBQs or baked mac 'n' cheese, candies yams, etc at Thanksgiving and Christmas. I started my weight…

Something else that could be happening is, if you do a lot of running or strength training using your legs, it could just be that your muscles are growing. I've noticed that as I'm building leg muscle, my jeans fit a lot looser in the waist and a lot tighter in the thigh (I have been running and walking the 7 flights of…
