Thank you for the inspiration! I LOVE being reminded that it CAN be done! :drinker:

You have done FABULOUSLY! It's great to know it can be done! (Yes, it will take me longer than a year to get that far, but I will get there! )

Extra chores, yes. Everyday chores, only if I'm feeling ROTTEN and need the extra incentive to push myself.

First of all, you can't motivate her if she doesn't want to be motivated. I commend you for wanting to be a good friend to her. She needs to learn to be a good friend to you as well, though, and that means not ALWAYS insisting on the meeting place being somewhere that is not good for your goals.

When I lose 150 pounds, we are going to VEGAS!!!!!!!! When I lose 250 pounds, we are going on a cruise! (Maybe we will do it vice versa... I'd be happy with that, too.... I figured cruise is a bigger deal, so do it when I hit a bigger goal, but my husband thinks that Vegas would be even more fun for me 250 pounds from now…

I live in the United States, not the UK, so I feel like I don't have a right to have an opinion. But.... I get that she can't make meals because she "can't stand for more than two minutes at a time", so she orders take out often. It also seems to me that NOT having the surgery could have the effect of spending more money…

I've managed to block out those years. No, not drugs. It's just easier to forgive if I choose to forget.
-
Just forgive yourself, and move on. Tomorrow will be here soon, and you will have the opportunity to benefit from learning from your mistakes. If I could go back in time twenty years, I'd tell me to forgive myself and not to give up on myself. Had I done that then, I wouldn't have as much to lose now.

They are self focused. They think if you think you need to lose weight, you must think they are huge. They judge you because they have decided you must be judging them, even though it ISN'T all about them. I used to think like that myself. Then, to make a long story short, my good friend was diagnosed with hardening of the…

I don't think you should try to punish him. His own actions will. He's showing these pictures around... do you think the ladies in his vicinity are going to be appreciating this and posing for him in the future, with or without a camera. No. I'd play nice. Maybe even nice enough to get introduced to his future girlfriend,…

Well, then I would suggest that since he doesn't want to take you to the playground which you enjoy, you don't take him to Disney World. Maybe that will teach him the meaning of give and take.

Raw spinach from their produce department makes a great salad. I have a friend who mixes in cranberries, walnuts, tomatoes, bacon bits, ranch dressing, hard boiled egg, peppers, and shredded cheese. It's also good without the bacon bits and with a lighter dressing. All of the above can be bought at Costco though (it's…

That is great news! Good for you!

You are wearing a tank top.

Great job! I am reminded though, of why firemen where red suspenders.... Maybe you could keep the pants and contact your local fire station and ask them where they get their snazzy looking suspenders... (I threatened my husband I'd do that if he didn't get himself new pants when his old ones were loose.... )

Log in EVERY day, even when you have slipped up. Be honest on your food log, even when you slip up so badly you want to hide. Consider every day a learning experience. You don't have to be perfect, but you have to learn from your mistakes. My stupidest mistake? I used a "mug" for a measuring cup for about three months…

I really like the manicure suggestion. As a matter of fact, if I paint my own nails when I feel like bingeing, it'll give me about half an hour longer to try to talk myself out of it...

I'm not the OP, but I thank you for the book recommendation. I need to figure out a way to deal with stress and frustration that is not food related.

If you want to do things together (and hopefully he does, too), then you both need to give a little. Is it exercise he objects to, or outdoors? If it's the outdoors, you can go bowling together, indoor swimming pool, museums (you have to walk in a museum, right?). If it's exercise, you can go to outdoor concerts, have…

Today I am going to make Ramen Noodle soup, add veggies, onion, reduced sodium soy sauce and tuna, and will hope for the best! (I usually use ground beef or turkey instead of tuna)

Great job! Very inspiring!

First of all, GREAT JOB! :flowerforyou: The first couple of weeks we lose water weight, which goes MUCH more quickly than fat. It seems that is also what we gain when we have too much sodium and are bloated the next day, and perhaps a couple of pounds heavier than the day before (though it is recommended by many that we…
