Doesn't sound too bad if you are trying to lose weight. If you feel good and are getting all your nutrients, stick to it. Hopefully you are eating lots of fresh foods and not a lot of processed stuff - 1200 calories of junk and 1200 calories of clean eating are two totally different things!!!

Also, there is no reason you MUST eat fruit. Veggies have everything you need that you can get from fruit! Would be a bummer though because fruit is yummy!

There is such a thing as fructose intolerance. Some people just can't eat fruit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fructose_malabsorption says it's only stuff that has more fructose than glucose, but I have a friend that just can't eat fruit at all (or claims she can't). Maybe get yourself tested?

I eat no bread, rice, potatoes, pasta, cereal. All my carbs come from veggies, fruit, and a little bit of VERY dark chocolate every day :) I eat 100 - 150 grams of carbs a day (that means I eat a LOT of veggies!). Honestly, I am finding that going without starchy carbs and sugars is much easier than trying to be "moderate" with them. If you don't eat them, you don't physically crave them. They create a vicious cycle.
