  • Peanut Butter Coconut Chips TJ's Cornichon (super sour)
  • I'm sorry you have Meniere's - I do not, my sister does. She eats no processed foods or added salt and cannot tolerate any caffeine (cokes, coffee, tea, chocolate). Like you, she cannot skip meals and keeps salt-free crackers in her purse. She gets an attack (vertigo) if she gets too dehydrated or hot (which is hard, as…
  • Well, as a menopausal woman, I can tell you I do not tolerate dairy based protein powders - dairy & all dairy based portein powders gives me hot flashes. My husband, who only has menopause vicariously does not have hot flashes with anything.
  • I've added more fat and foods high in fiber, really helps. For instance my breakfast smoothie contains flax meal - high in fiber & good fat Lunch will be something like beans (high in fiber) and I'll drizzle a tablespoon of olive oil over them Dinner might be an omelete with salad (olive oil)
  • For some reason, wine makes me hungry, also lowers inhibitions - I was just dinking around, not losing weight. About a week ago I stopped wine altogether (I don't drink beer or alcohol). Not only am I not as hungry, I feel more in control when I actually am and the weight is starting to come off. YAY As others have…
  • I'm 5'8" and need to lose 20-25 lbs, rate ~ pound a week. Focusing on fitness and healthy eating. Need a lifestyle I can live with. Feel free to add me as a friend y'all
  • I am nearly always vegetarian (raised vegetarian), every once in a while I have seafood, but 95% of the time - vegetarian. I find dairy makes me ache, (cheese not so much) so I don't eat milk, cream, yogurt etc. I eat a lot of beans, rice, vegetables - some eggs and fruit for dessert.
  • Wish I had a whole water filter system for the house - BECAUSE Our water is heavily mineralized and I'm tired of descaling sinks, toilets, faucets - and because our water tastes nasty. Its not a "medical" thing, its a convenience/taste thing.
  • I didn't notice any change in measurements until I increased Bar Method to 4x/week REALLY kept calories at MFP reccomendations (ate all exercise calories - so food is often 1700+ I'm 5'8".) You may not be eating enough? Do the thing that increases your muscle mass.
  • The biggest thing that helped me was stopping dairy - the hot flashes stopped.
  • Edamame 1 bag ~10 oz Thinly sliced shallot sautéed until golden brown in 1T Olive Oil Season with salt & pepper (smoked salt if available, but take it easy on this) Mix together.
  • Hi Chris, I was on prednisone for many years (autoimmune disease) and I empathize with what you're going through. Prednisone is notorious for causing weight gain! It makes you HUNGRY 24/7 and it makes you retain fluid. I tried losing weight on pred, didn't happen, so I concentrated on not gaining any more weight (I packed…
  • I'm "lucky"? I have a medical condition that requires me to ingest 3-5 grams of salt/day. On the other hand, my sister has a condition that demands less than 1g/day. Point? We're all different.
  • Small Boned/Frame 125-130 lbs. :flowerforyou:  :flowerforyou:
  • I've had better results with the actual class than the DVD's. The instructors and other class participants seem to add to the intensity. I didn't lose weight, but I did lose inches. Also, I loved my Bar Body. People asked me if I was a dancer. I'm not. When I lifted weights, I was quite bulky (I'm 5'8"). BTW. If you have a…
  • Goal: 14% (or so) Body Fat I'm 5'8" and weigh 142. My body fat percentage is 28%. I have a very small frame. I prefer to watch my measurements and most importantly body fat percentage. I'm a competitive athlete and felt really good at 14% body fat, so for me right now, I am overweight. I feel sluggish and it's difficult…
