I have made these once before, and I'm making them again tonight. They're super delicious. The ingredients list looks long, but it's mostly spices: Lamb (or Beef) and Feta Stuffed Peppers Ingredients 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 medium onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 6 medium green bell peppers (or pricier colors) 1 tsp…

I'm making stuffed peppers tonight at roughly 250 calories each: Lamb (or Beef) and Feta Stuffed Peppers Ingredients 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 medium onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 6 medium green bell peppers 1 tsp ground Greek oregano 1 sprig fresh rosemary, chopped 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice 1/2…

Question: The recipe calls for 2T of Olive Oil, but down in the instructions, it looks like there are 4T of Olive Oil. Is there a typo in the instruction for the Onion cooking? This looks delicious, and I definitely want to try it!

I just made some last night and it was *delicious* - first time I ever cooked it! Have leftovers for lunch today. Can't wait! I found the original recipe that inspired this dish on the Martha Stewart site here: http://www.marthastewart.com/314820/wild-rice-stuffed-squash?czone=food/produce-guide-cnt/produce-guide-fall I…

For me, some days I'm simply hungrier that others. I try to respect that. I like yogurt with a couple teaspoons of chopped pecans mixed in. Or I'll chop up an apple and dip it in the yogurt.

Ill say it...MFP = naked weigh-ins! :0 Plus the weigh-ins are private; no one asking me what I could do differently this week, etc.

Lifelong Weight Watcher here. On and off since teen years. I prefer MFP for a couple of reasons - free being the biggest one. I like that we're tracking information that is immediately available by flipping over the product packaging. There is no proprietary patented "system" superimposed over caloric information. Plus,…

Our dog is also crate trained. But the crate is never for punishment. We have "settle spots" in the house. Small leashes where we can hook the dog to keep him out of the way. He usually gets a chew stick or something so that he doesn't hate being "settled." But not always. Our dog eats toilet paper, loves used Kleenex…

Internally, yes of course. Someone years ago told me to learn to say Thank you and then shut up already! :) Now, even though my HEAD wants me to say "but...[insert self-deprecating comment here]" I replace that with "that is so kind of you to say" or "I like your [insert compliment back]". Try it! Be super conscious of it.…

I attempted this last night...and I was SO CLOSE. But in typical doing things too fast mode, I mistook Cumin for Curry Powder and totally ruined it. I will attempt again soon for sure! I think I may roast the veggies at a higher temp to caramelize them some more, though. Thanks for posting!

Thank you so much - definitely going to try this one! Can't wait. I love all the soup recipes I'm finding on this board. We're eating the last of my turkey chili tonight, so I may have to cook this one up and have it ready for tomorrow night.

Roasted Chickpeas! Take a can of chickpeas/garbanzo beans, drain and rinse very well. Pat dry with a paper towel. Toss with 1T Olive Oil, 1/4 tsp salt, and whatever spices you like (chili powder, curry, cinnamon, whatever floats your boat). Bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 45 minutes until they're crunchy. These are…

I love to walk with my dog. He always makes the walk more interesting and fun. I can talk to him, even if he mostly ignores me and never talks back. He's a fabulous walking buddy. We change it up sometimes by driving to a local park where there are 135 stairs. Talk about butt busting! I would suggest getting new shoes as a…

I'm currently weighing once a week, but I'm considering going to every 2 weeks or even every month. I'm trying to be more in-tune with my daily choices and not letting the scale "ruin" an otherwise good week. :)

Made these yesterday -they're delicious! I think you can get away with 1/2 a rectangle per s'more cup rather than a full rectangle (especially if you use a dark chocolate), and there was lots of dipping chocolate left over after I dipped mine. Thanks so much for posting! I'm looking forward to trying with flavored dark…

Welcome! I'm fairly new here as well. I think I dodged that attorney bullet...though I've been a paralegal now for 17 years. Have seen lots of friends enter the "recovering attorney" portion of their lives. Feel free to friend me here. I'm generally upbeat and positive. I'm even funny, most days.

You sound overwhelmed. I like the advice of setting smaller goals for yourself. I honestly have not figured out the total amount of weight I need to lose. I know it's over 100 lbs, but I have no clue how much over. Instead, I choose to focus on just today. What can I do today, now, to be successful. It's kind of a Jedi…

Not a silly question at all. They're in most grocery stores. They're the long, thin cucumbers that are usually wrapped in plastic. They have fewer seeds that regular cucumbers. See, for example: http://thejapanesekitchen.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/english_cuke1.jpg

A friend of mine uses English cucumbers in place of chips. Brilliant!

My hands down favorite soup recipe is Ina Garten's Roasted Fall Vegetable Soup. You can find the original version here: http://www.barefootcontessa.com/recipes.aspx?RecipeID=234&S=0 My favorite part is roasting the vegetables. The kitchen smells amazing! I use an immersion hand blender to mix it all up right on the stove…

I really like this recipe for pumpkin dip - it's out of this world with Honey Crisp apples! I think it's originally a Cooking Light recipe. Pumpkin Dip 3/4 cup (6 ounces) 1/3-less-fat cream cheese 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup canned pumpkin 2 teaspoons maple syrup 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (or to taste) Honey…
