I have the One. I like it well enough. When I remember to charge it. I usually wear it a week on, a week off (until I remember to charge it). I've lost it twice already, but found quickly enough. I do think that it helps provide me with a little motivation. A couple of times now I've been sitting around in the evening, and…

I've been making wraps with sesame hummus, avocado, shredded carrots, sliced bell pepper, sliced cucumbers, and loads of spinach all in one of those Flat Out breads. You could also use a large tortilla. I usually have fruit on the side - orange or peach/strawberry mix.

The database is a combination of things added by MFP, and things added by individuals (these entries have a * next to them). I find that when I'm eating something with a UPC code, I scan it with my smartphone and usually get the database entry that has the most information associated with it. If you're just using a…

I don't even think about it. I take a week at a time. Sometimes a day at a time if it's a particularly challenging day. And I forgive myself alot.

I decided to try a day of drinking juice/green smoothies to see if it would be something I would like. The day ended with a giant burger and ice cream. I can do the occasional green smoothie if I have to power through lunch at work, but it's not a way of life for me if it means I'm going to go nuts at dinner time.

I saw the CNN piece when it came out. It's terrific. Fantastic work and inspirational to boot. I shared the article with some friends - we're all doing our own little B-L challenge in 12-week chunks (pun intended).

Sometimes - if I've packed a lunch for work, for example. But I'm really easy to sway toward going out to eat, in which case I'll just move the meal to the next day and go out with co-workers. I'll pre-log what I expect to eat for the day, and then fix it up at the end of the night before I close it out.

Most mornings for me involve Fage 2% Greek Yogurt with homemade granola. I use the Alton Brown granola recipe as my base - though I omit the coconut and sub in a little flax seed and pecans. I also prefer dried cherries to raisins. Point is, you can't make a "wrong" combination with this recipe:…

Wonderful post. I just attended my first water aerobics class this week, and I wondered whether or not I would like swimming laps. Been a long time since I've done that. Thanks for taking the time to write your story. Much appreciated.

Dry Soda makes lots of great low-cal sodas that are lower in sugar and make fantastic mixers. Their cucumber soda is terrific mixed with gin. So is their juniper berry soda. Their lemongrass and their wild lime both go great with vodkas. I also like the Steigl grapefruit/beer Radlers. Best wishes.

If you have access to Dry Soda - those are great. My favorites are the cucumber and the vanilla bean. They're very low cal and help get your "fizzy fix."

Does Chili count? I make this chili about once a month, and it's always a successful week at the scale when this is part of our meal plan. I wrote it up here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/phocid/view/turkey-chili-151910 I also have a shrimp and corn chowder recipe but I haven't written it up yet. Let me know if that is…

Good luck shopping! I hope you find something fabulous. I did want to throw out there that if things are still too tight, there are fabulous options on jessicalondon.com for larger calf sizes. I bought a pair of purple suede boots a couple years ago, and they are still my favorites.

There's nothing wrong with liking PB! What about buying the individual serving packages so that you can limit the size of one serving?

I worked my way down from 1 tablespoon to 1 teaspoon over the course of a couple of months. Don't do it too quickly. But your taste buds will definitely adjust. You may also try brewing your coffee less strong to help you adjust. I don't like any of the artificial sweeteners - some of them give my husband raging headaches,…

I second eatingwell.com - everything I have ever made from their website turns out fabulously.

Hey there - I started in the 300's. Crept into the 290's recently. It's a long journey, but I'm up for it!

I am working on an every 2-week plan. I started out weekly. I attempted an "Oblivious October" wherein I was supposed to stay off the scale for the entire month. That lasted all of 18 days, but it showed me that I can go about 2 weeks and be okay. I weighed myself on Friday. My next planned weigh-in is Wednesday before…

Just slowly dial back the sugar you use. I mean really slowly. Cut out 1/4 tsp each week. You will get used to it! I used to put 1 tablespoon of sugar in my coffee each and every morning. I'm down to 1 teaspoon, and I'm fine with that and don't wish to reduce any further. I recently discovered that I love putting Cardamom…

I can walk upstairs like a "normal' person. Our stairs are very steep, and some nights I was literally going up them on all 4's.

I made a delicious Chicken and Leek Shepherd's Pie (which I totally plan to make again with turkey once we have T'giving leftovers!) I got the recipe from EatingWell.com - but tweaked it a little: Chicken & Leek Shepherd's Pie: Filling: 1 T Olive Oil 2 leeks, white and light green parts only, well washed and thinly sliced…

Many people who come to visit Portland do the obligatory Multnomah Falls trip out to the Gorge. Of course it's beautiful, but there is something a little lacking when you arrive to find busloads of tour groups there taking rolls and rolls of film. Wow - I just realized that's a completely dated reference. I like to send…

Greetings to the group from Portland, OR!

Welcome to MFP! I'm a former Weight Watcher as well. I think overall, it's a great program, but I wanted to track calories and other things that are "publicly available" without the overlay of some proprietary system that they seem to tweak and mess with each and every year. MFP has been fun, and frankly, painless. Hope…

I'm a big fan of chili as a great source of protein. There are so many great recipes out there. This is one of my favorites here, though I do use the lower fat ground turkey rather than the dark meat turkey the recipe calls for. I have also made this with lean hamburger: http://www.wholeliving.com/recipe/turkey-chili…

Thanks for sharing these, ladies! I plan to make something with lentils this weekend. Much appreciated.

I just posted my Vegetable Fried Rice recipe to my fledgling MFP blog. I'll be sure to get final results pics this evening when I cook it all up. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/phocid I love eating "real" food. We minimize the processed/packaged food we bring into the house. This particular recipe, with a bit of advanced…
