Hi, I'm Tia, 26 years old, 5'3" 151 lbs. My goal for NYE is 120 lbs. A few year ago, I was on MFP. I lost 30+ lbs (162lb to 128lb), met a guy, then a relationship came along and ruined all my progress. haha. So, here I am again. Sticking to my guns this time! I've owned the 30DS DVD forever, but have never worked out to…

Hey ladies! I am flying out tomorrow (sunday) for a week long work trip. I decided that I will take my weighing scale with me. My guess is that if I misbehave, it will warn me and my guilt will redirect good food or smaller quantities into my mouth and unnecessary food away from me. This is, of course, purely a guess...…

I use something called EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale. I can personally vouch that it gives me the same answer if i step on it 10 times in a row. I did test it. I really like it. It shows your weight in 0.2lb increments and lights up the moment you step on it. No tapping at all. I've used it for over a year. Idk…

The past week was definitely a plateau week for me. 153.4.

I do hope you feel better later :) Being sick is no fun :(

I've been so good to myself for a month but today I feel like going off my 1200 calorie diet to eat a lot more. I feel like I need to eat atleast another 500-700 calories to feel "healthier" ...which is complete BS. I wouldn't have dropped 9lbs in a month if I had felt like this everyday. So I won't be eating more. I…

Good job Liz and Sharen :D I'm at 153.4. I'm in shock haha :) what happened to me this week?! lol. I'm happy. Now, I hope I don't plateau at 153. 153 was a long rest stop on the way up :)

I'm having a sweet week. My weight dropped more to 155.4. I honestly didn't think I could lose any more weight this week. My calorie budget and I are getting along pretty well. Yesterday, at work, I was presented with an opportunity to FEAST on a wide variety of the most delicious high-calorie food I could see... and it…

Dee, are you in Nova? I live in MD. Welcome to our little (expanding) group :)

I think this varies from person to person which would explain why there are so many opinions. I eat 1200 cals a day, burn 800 over my maintenance (which is 1700-ish cals) sometimes, bringing my total calories burned to 2500 This isn't an everyday thing for me. I usually do this 2-3 days a week. Normally I eat 1200 and use…

Good job! Conquering those moments takes so much self control and clearly you have accomplished that :)

I'd flirtatiously deal with any situation. Well, friend flirty with the colleague, not male-female flirty there. If you don't want them to know about your diet, I'd say, "awww you're so sweet! Gosh I wish I hadn't had my (insert meal) already." If your self control is good, I'd add, "I'll have a tiny piece just because…

*kitten*, that was long. I had no idea.

I hope everybody's doing well. I have a few goals for this week. And there's a little (or a LOT of) happy commentary below about what works for me. Things are going well for me and I would like to share. If this helps you ladies, great :) Goals: 1) Weight. I lost approx 1lb/week in september after I started with mfp. This…

I'm so in. I totally need something like this  Thanks for starting it! Tia now 159lb By dec 31st: 140lbs Goal weight: 105lbs My highest was 181lbs. That was Dec 2009. Progress has been slow.... because I wasn't seriously committed. I've been tracking almost everyday now, my commitment to weight loss is significantly…

Do you wait at least 3 hours after your meal before going to sleep or taking a nap? Going to sleep soon after my meal usually makes me gain weight. Even one meal followed by a nap makes a huge difference for me.
