  • OMG, you're brave...I envy your courage. All I've done is buy a bikini, I haven't had the nerve to put it on.
  • Take a little walk and get some fresh air. It will be hard to begin with, but you'll feel good after.
  • Date???? Date??? What's that?
  • Near in Washington State, I just paid $4.39/gallon...ouch!
  • When I make cake, instead of using white sugar, use brown sugar, but half of the amount, then add applesauce to help in sweeting and substitute for the oil and make the cake very moist, use unsweetened cocoa powder and egg whites instead of whole eggs. Then make sure you make cupcakes instead of a whole round or square…
  • Much better than last week. Thank you very much.
  • WOW!!!! That is amazing, I need to dig up my old pictures. Like you, I went from size 18 jeans to size 8, but in my head I don't look that different, but looking at your pictures it is just amazing. Great job!!!:drinker:
  • Don't worry about staying at 1200 cals after surgery, just don't have junk around...just healthy stuff. First, you won't really feel like eating Second, your body needs the extra calories to recover, just make sure you don't go completely crazy, eat when you feel hungry, and keep it healthy. And don't worry about working…
  • Honda S2000. Honda because it's reliable, S2000 because it's speedy, convertible because my hair is always a mess.
  • OMG I wish I can go. I LOVE hiking  , so much that I started a hiking club so that I can groom my own hiking partners. 18 miles is a long trek, 26 miles sound amazing. I love uphill climbs, not much into down hill, but I guess if you go up...you must come down. Thanks for sharing.
  • Congratulations!! How fantastic. :flowerforyou:
  • Welcome, this is a wonderful place, I'm sure you will enjoy it.
  • I felt the same way when I first started losing, but I found myself an excellent seamstress that has helped me do some alterations. Now I can still wear my favorite clothes, and it's a lot cheaper than buying new.
  • Thanks, I've lost 60 pounds since the divorce so I'm feeling pretty good. So here's the update: I went into the gym and went into the free weight area, I know they are there because I saw my ex's truck in the parking lot. Thank goodness a couple of girlfriends were there too, so they worked out with me and I just ignored…
  • Welcome and good luck to you. You'll enjoy it here, everyone is supportive and helpful. Where're you from??? I use to play tennis too, but haven't for about 25 years. Now I have no one to play with and wish that I had someone who can help me get started again.
  • OK...I've been going to the gym in the morning and lifting, then hiding in the cardio room in the evening. But I have changed my mind. I'm going to the gym tonight for the first time in 2 years and I'm going to lift in the weight area during the busy time. I've been avoiding the weight area in the evening because my…
  • Congratulations! You have come a long ways. I think that we will always be struggling with food, but the first step is knowing it so we can do something about it. Just reading your profile and what you have wrote here shows me that you are an amazing person. Keep it up and I'm sure that you will not be disappointed. Thanks…
  • As far as I know, all leafy greens are very high in folic acid as well as sunflower seeds and beans. Good luck.:flowerforyou:
  • Hard to judge just by the weight on the scale if you're working out, especially lifting weights. If you don't have access to measuring body fat, then go by inches measured or how your clothes fit.
  • I'm doing the same thing. I haven't lost any in a while, so I'm increasing my cals. I think that as we work out and gain muscle mass while we're losing fat, our need for more calories increase. I'm quite nervous about this as I don't want to gain any fat while increasing my calories. Let's hope for the best.
  • Congratulations!!! Great job. Nice to see the hard work paying off.
  • There has been discussions on this subject, and lots of opinion but in the end I think it's up to you. Some people like to get the weights over with because they don't like it and won't do it if they do cardio first, and some people like to do cardio first to get their bodies warmed up. Either way it's up to you and what…
  • I feel so much smarter now. I had no idea. :ohwell: Thank you.
  • Yes, go to the "Exercise" tab, under "Cardio" click add an exercise and type in "Strength Training" in the search box.
  • Yay for strong women!! Stay safe everyone.
  • I am a survivor as well and also had a full hysterectomy and ovaries removal. How long ago was your surgery? I had a 13 pound ovarian tumor removed, and needless to say I lost about 20 pounds instantly from the removal of EVERYTHING. But then the 20 pounds came back on pretty darn fast, it was just a few months and was all…
  • I feel most sexy in the arms of a wonderful man...I don't have one, but I'm sure that I'll feel most sexy IF I was to have a man.
  • Fish is my favorite, I love all kinds and I'm not really particular about how it's cooked as long as it's not deep fried. Here in the NW we have lots of Salmon, Halibut, Cod, Tuna...yumm. I also love shellfish as well, Shrimp, Dungeness Crab, Alaskan King Crab, Lobster....now, I'm really hungry. I've never had Shark...I…
  • I love to hike and do it every week. I love the calories that it burns and allows me to have a major cheat day without feeling guilty. When I come down from the mountain I will have a burger or something with lots of protein. Love it...love it...love it.
  • You got it...I'll pray for him.
