  • I love the Hood to Coast and have participated in years passed. My team have desolved and my knees can no longer take the pounding of runny those types of races. The team that I've been on use to have 6 wheelchair racers, so we ran the up hill portions and they took the downhill from Mount Hood, it was a scream because…
  • Should be fine as long as you're doing something different every day for 3 days.
  • Love it. I'm a big fan of all three: Jim Carry - one of the funniest and most talented physical comedian of all time Benicio Del Torro - very talented, haven't seen him an anything that I didn't like. Sean Penn - have you seen "I Am Sam"? Great actor.
  • Yummy...hot wings, but can't have the darn things...so this is what I do. Celery & carrots (very cold and crispy) dip: 1 teaspoon fat free ranch or light blue cheese dressing & lots of Franks Hot sauce Yummy, it takes care of my cravings...it's really the dressing and hot sauce flavor that I want. If it's the chicken, then…
  • I agree...nothing worse than expecting to eat a nice, juicely chrispy apple when all you get is mush...yuck. :grumble: I found that if I get the "Fuji" apples, they are good almost all the time. Never had any luck with "Red Delicious", they're icky most of the time. Good job for losing 30 so far, keep it up. :flowerforyou:
  • Great advice...I'm not quite that size...yet, but when I get there, I'll have to remember it. I'm currently in a size 8 or 10 jeans, but determined to get into a 6...not bad from size 18 just a few short years ago.
  • I love to get the tilapia from Costco, add salt & pepper and bake. Serve with the Mango Salsa w/Peach from Costco. Very YUMMY!!!
  • I think you have been mis-informed, that is simply not true. I have been working out for years and have never heard that. Although I will give you some information for you to think about, but please remember that everyone's body is different, so what ever you hear is going to be right for some and not right for others, so…
  • I actually live on the Washington side, but I'm downtown quite a bit and can't wait to try this place.
  • It really depends on genetics. Everyone told me that I would lose my breast size when I lose weight. I've lost 60 pounds and am still a DDDD...yes girls, a whopping size G. I hate them and can't afford a reduction right now so I'll have to wait.
  • Yay, there's one in downtown Portland, next time I'm there I'm going to check it out....Thank you!:flowerforyou:
  • All of us who are trusting have been a victim of some sort or another at some time :noway: . Some serious...some not so serious, but serious or not, it leaves us feeling vulnerable and wounded:sad: . Be sure to do something good for yourself today to boost your morale and don't let them hurt you anymore. The deed has been…
  • Chocolate w/banana & some raspberry yogurt Vanilla with peaches or strawberries & yogurt Fruit punch w/blueberries or blackberries & lemon yogurt YUMMMMM!!!:drinker:
  • I love to snowshoe, it was my favorite excursion last year. Today was the first time I was able to get to the mountain this winter, and it was just as great as I remembered. Of course it helped that the sun was out and the scenery was beautiful. I snowshoed for 2 1/2 hours and took 13, 241 steps and burned 1472…
  • Yay for you...congratulations, it's not an easy feat. You did great no matter what your time was...finishing, feeling good about yourself and the sense of accomplishment are the most important thing here. Now that you have empowered yourself, you can do ANYTHING. :flowerforyou:
  • Candles make EVERYONE look good.
  • Celebrate...and have the luxuries :drinker: , just don't over indulge. Don't deprive yourself of the simple luxuries in life, you deserve it. Just make sure that you fill your plate with a big salad or something healthy and low calories first, then leave a little room for the steak and crab, and have a sip of champagne.…
  • I think that you are very lucky that you have someone that wants to hug you and touch you, and you should be loving it:heart: . Loving someone does not have anything to do with your "fat rolls", it's from the heart. Touch is something very important, when you are hugging someone or touching them, you are sending your…
  • Wow, look at you guys...some new faces and names and some that I recognize. You guys are the best. I will definitely be motivated now. I went to the gym tonight and did 30 min on the threadmill, walking for 15, running for 10, then cool down walking for 5. Then I went to the rowing machine and rowed for 20 minutes and did…
  • Good luck bleachcse. I wish I could afford to purchase another one. Because it really was the only thing that worked really well for me.
  • Hey MFP'ers I am back. I haven't logged in my food or anything since about the end of March, went through a whole lot of depression as well as ANOTHER broken heart and really didn't care much anymore and now I AM BACK. I have gained about 15 pounds back during this time, which surprises me as I would have thought it would…
  • I used the Bodybugg and lost 60 pounds in a matter of 5 months. It is GREAT. It works very much like a HRM, except it is much more accurate in estimating how much calories you burn. You wear it all day, and it senses your heart rate, body temperature as well as the moisture (sweat) therefore it is much more accurate. I…
  • Yes...I have heard that the average person consumes between 3500 and 4500 calories on Thanksgiving day. And I don't doubt it. We tend to use butter to cook with since it is Thanksgiving. If you cook the dressing inside the turkey, the dressing is soaking up all the fat from the turkey, gravy = more fat, veggies are often…
  • I live in the Pacific Northwest and I love the snow. I am very excited because it's snowing on Mt Hood right now, which means SHOW SHOEING soon. Yippee!!! Last year we had a very long snow season, I went snow shoeing as late as May 15th, which is VERY unusual for us. I'm hoping for the same this year.
  • Depends on each person. I had already lost some weight before getting on, so it wasn't hard to get my calories down. But if it's hard for you, then wean yourself down, just make sure that you set yourself up for success. :flowerforyou:
  • Happy Birthday!!! :drinker:
  • Did you say snow??? I wish we were that lucky, I'm hoping we see snow by Thanksgiving and that wil be stretching a little, I can't wait until I can go snow shoeing.
  • Thanks...great message.:flowerforyou:
  • Congratulations to you. You did all the work, we just sit back and watch is all. You get the credit. :flowerforyou:
  • It's hard to get use to drinking just regular water to began with since most American's don't drink regular water. Just start with putting a little Crystal Light in it, not much just a little for taste, and every day use less and less until you don't need it any more. Or put slices of fresh lemon, lime or orange in your…
