I hate to admit it, but I was! It's a sickening feeling. Don't know who to trust and who not to and it's left me feeling "empty". It could have been so much worse, but I've had no appetite all day long because of it! I have like 1250 cal left and I've already had lunch and breakfast! I worked out on the elliptical this morning to try to relieve some stress and I suppose it helped, but oh my.....we have to be careful of everything we do!!!!

All of us who are trusting have been a victim of some sort or another at some time :noway: . Some serious...some not so serious, but serious or not, it leaves us feeling vulnerable and wounded:sad: . Be sure to do something good for yourself today to boost your morale and don't let them hurt you anymore. The deed has been done and it's up to you to pick up and dust it off and know that there are people out here that are kind and care for you:flowerforyou: . And be sure to be careful in the future...care for yourself as we care for you .0

Does my last relationship count?
ba-doom-CHING!
Honestly though, I wasn't scammed. I *WAS* the victim of identity theft. I had two laptops stolen from my apartment about 2 years ago (one work, one personal). My personal laptop had all of my credit card information, bank account info, etc. Basically whoever stole the laptop got the jackpot. Luckily the credit card companies got all of my accounts locked that day, but the hooligan did try to use the numbers soon after. It was a nightmare, because I had outstanding checks (rent, etc) and I ended up getting my credit score knocked all over the place because the checks bounced. It took a few months to get everything straightened back out.
All I could do was hope that whoever stole it *really* needed it to survive. Which I doubt is the case, but who knows.0 -

Thank you! I have always been leary and reserved when it comes to personal info, but this one just got away from me before it hit me what was happening! I hope to feel better about it tomorrow! I've had a GREAT reality wake-up call!0 -

Exactly my thoughts!! I can live without it (money) if they can live with it in the way it was taken from me!!0 -

Hopefully it wasn't too much money for you, especially in these hard times, my bf is laid off so that seemed like a great Christmas gift but such is life!:huh:0
