I'm in that last 5-10lb range now after losing >50lbs. Despite sticking to the calorie goals that worked well for the first 40+ or so lbs it's been slow going ever since with maybe a 1-2lb loss at most each month. Best advice would be to plan on it being a long term goal you'll need to stick to.

I’d agree with ValGogo on taking that “Starvation mode” idea and throwing it in the trash. That’s just a phrase for fat people to use so they don’t feel bad about eating too much. My job as an Air Traffic Controller really gets me bored. If I’m not napping on the job I like to Jog around the tower or do some pushups under my terminal. The occasional “close call” certainly gets the adrenaline flowing and I find jumping jacks work well to calm things down.:wink:

For any scientists out there who keep brains in jars, here’s a tip... add a slice of lemon to the jar, for freshness.

If you feel too bad about going over, try to log the excess into the next day and be more determined that day not to go over. Just not logging kind of defeats the purpose.

Jimmy Dean Ham Breakfast Skillets make 4 servings at 280 calories per serving and I find it pretty filling. If you shop at Aldi their version of the same thing has the same calories and prep.
