  • 1/2 TB light Mayo plus 1/2 TB light sour cream - cuts the mayo flavor. tastes lighter
  • Your net needs to be your net if you are in it for weight loss. Going below net will not help you lose weight - your body needs a minimum amount to function and when it doesn't get it it will hold onto weight. So eating back calories to reach your net should be your goal. If you can't, then stop excercising so much.
  • I have fibromyalgia and arthritis. 20+ yrs. Yes the cold makes both worse. My fibromyalgia makes me feel achy all the time, like the flu. I am also sensitive to touch. I have tried the gamet of meds/ therapies. None worked for me and I didn't like the side effects. I now take ibuprofen for the arthritis. Sleep is most…
  • When your body fat gets below a certain level, your body is telling you that you are not fit/healthy to reproduce. Its nature. You should listen to it. You are underweight.
  • Krispy Creme pumpkin spice doughnuts
  • We have a Platos closet. You could sell baggy ones and buy new ones very cheaply. Also I've done TJ Maxx too for a few necessities until I get to goal.
  • I'm pretty sure you wouldn't count your miles walked because that is already factored into your MFP calories when you ask whether you have a light job, moderate activity job, active job.
  • you are in the wrong job and you probably had overestimated what an actual full time every day job can do for your life. Can you not get another job with all your accomplishments? Maybe in the wrong field. It will take years off your life if you stay at a job you hate. I'm an RN and have had good jobs and bad, but never…
  • Whose income do you live on? yours? If that's what you've agreed to then thats one thing. Who is qualifying for food stamps? Him? someone needs a part time job -or two or three. No excuse. Most students work a part time job or get a work scholarship from school or wait tables or something....
  • Does anyone have a good recipe for pumpkin spice cappuccino or coffee? I tried making a mixture of truvia and pumpkin pie spice but was not good. I love Speedway Pumpkin Spice cappuccino but 8oz is 140. I usually mix 50/50 w/ regular coffee
  • Eat there all the time - at least once a week. Calories are calories - Its your choice how to use them. but I pack on the veggies to offset the negatives. I also do avocado and cheese if I need to use up calories. Baked or reduced fat chips. Satisfying and delicious.
  • lets not nit-pick and lecture about the 0-calories for pete sake - you know what she means!!!
  • I pre-plan my meals. Even when I go out to eat. I pack my breakfast and lunch and snacks and take to work and plan my dinner in advance. You are in control. Not the food. If you stick with it and see results, that will help motivate you to keep going. You have willpower you just need to access it. It will become a way of…

  • People who talk on cell phones loudly the whole time they are next to you on the elliptical/treatmill... I don't want to hear their conversation. I bet they do that in stores and check out lines too.
  • Sorry, didn't see that you had been running for years. However its a new symptom and should be checked into.
  • I had a neighbor 40 yr old that had shoulder pain when he mowed or got his heart rate up. Turns out he had 5 blockages. His body was trying to tell him something. I'm a nurse also, and your symptom is concerning.
  • It can be referred pain from your heart. If you are a woman, there are different symptoms than the classic heart attack symptoms. You need to see a Dr. and have an EKG. A person your size ( no offense) shouldn't start out with running. It takes alot of time to get your heart in shape to run. Your body is trying to tell you…
  • I had same issue. Actually losing weight to help my knee pain was my initial goal, but it didn't get better, just worse. MRI showed arthritis and lack of cartilage. So, walking was more painful. Dr. recommended elliptical or swimming. No running. Elliptical has kept me moving and doesn't hurt. At our age, its probably your…
  • Because your body needs a minimum amount of calories to be efficient at running. When you excercise you lower that minimum therefore your body will panic and store energy and will not be efficient. You have to have a minimum.... or its not healthy for you!
  • Oh and of course get a good shoe with a good arch. Don't invest in custom orthotics. You just need a good arch support.
  • Several things to do, but have to do frequently and consistently. Ice the heel where the muscle attaches to heal. This is where the inflamation is. couple times a day-freeze ice in dixie cups and use this. Keep it on there and rub around until goes numb like 5-7 minutes If you are able 800mg ibuprofen twice daily x 2 weeks…

  • My diary is open. I do 1200 but also excercise and eat back my calories. I plan for having xtra calories in evening so I have snack calories.
  • 20lbs in 3 wks is not normal so your body told itself to slow down. 1-2 lbs / week is the goal. In the long term it will balance out - you can't look at each weeks loss/gain. Its the overall loss over time.
  • I'm 5'1" and had about 45 to lose. I'm down almost 30 in 6 months. I have done this once before and kept it off 2 years. The key is realistic weight loss. Not 2lbs a week or more. But about 1lb a week is healthy and reasonable for long term success. Excersise for me is a must with my metabolism. You can do it, just keep…
