  • Today's mark's the official end of my second round of P90X. :drinker:
  • You know I never thought of that. I guess that a disadvantage to being close to your goal weight. Waiting to start insanity on Wednesday (fit test) but decided to do cardio power and resistance instead of plyometrics. Did pretty good but I was gassed at the end.
  • Man, I am jealous of all these calorie burns. I ran this morning at 6.4 mph for 4 miles and only burned 335 calories.
  • I'm really starting to get into the weight loss gadgets as well. This morning I used my chest strap heart rate monitor instead of my regular one. About the same results, I burned 822 calories during Insanity Max Interval Circuit. [/quote] Great job on the calorie burn. I don't know whether to be disappointed with the…
  • Happy Birthday. Go ahead and splurge - that's what all your hard work is for!
  • My Polar FT7 arrived yesterday. :drinker: Recovery week for me so I did core synergistics. Burned 315 calories. Planning on running tomorrow (instead of Kenpo), will see what I burn. Love new toys!!!!!!
  • I have a sportsline HRM that you can use just the watch or use with a chest strap. I've found the using just the watch is not really accurate. Plus you have to constantly touch the sensors to get your latest heart rate - that is not really convenient. Based on other members input, I just bought the Polar FT7. Should be…

  • Well I was supposed to do plyometrics this morning but I thought, what the heck, let's give insanity plyo circuit a try. Did pretty good. Had to stop a couple of times to figure out what we were supposed to be doing but overall was happy with my performance. Next time I will be a little more familiar with the moves and…
  • Great job on the calorie burn Edorice. I just ordered the Polar FT7 HRM. I had a sportsline one but I don't think it worked properly. I would say that I was burning 250 calories during plyo (and just about 300 calories after running at 6.4 mph for 40 minutes). Figured I needed an accurate HRM for insanity.
  • Sorry, I didn't get the quote and reply correct. Still learning. Good for you on your calorie burn. I have a fall family reunion tomorrow so I need to really push on the workouts this weekend. Back and biceps tomorrow - love this workout.
  • Thanks for the info. on the glutamine. I guess we'll see if my knees can take the pounding of a full round of insanity. Shoulders, arms and triceps tonight. Bought some adjustable dumbells at lunch today. I can go up to 35 lbs so I'm gonna really try and bring it tonight. I've only had 15lb max but I know I can do more…
  • I was thinking of taking some glutamine sulfate pills during insanity. I don't have too much trouble with my knees but when I run alot they seem to ache. Hoping that the glutamine will help.
  • I took a quick look at your diary and although you seem to be at or slightly under your 1500 calorie amount per day I think its the food that you are eating to get those calories is the culprit.....keep driving by the McDonalds and Pizza Hut. Plus it looks like you are only eating 2 times a day. You need to space your…
  • Good job. I'm not sure I could ever burn over 1000 calories in a workout. Can't wait to start insanity in a couple of weeks.
  • I almost done with the second round of p90x. I had more weight loss in the first round but the second round I have lost more inches. I agree with everyone's viewpoint on the nutrition. If you don't watch what you eat and limit your consumption of fried foods etc. then you will not get results. No amount of exercise will…
  • I thought the same thing about kenpo but then I added arm weights and you really feel the burn during the arm punches. Also the higher you do the kicks the more you will feel it.
  • Your results are amazing. I'm just finishing up my second round of P90X but still don't have the midsection I'd like. Besides the extra cardio did you do extra ab work?
  • Nice job. It's a great accomplishment to get through the program. Today marks my 6 month anniversary of doing P90X. Did the lean version first and now have a few more weeks left in the classic version. Insanity is being shipped to me now.
  • Hey everyone. Long-time reader of the the MFP boards but first time poster. I will be finishing up my second round of P90X soon (did lean then classic version). Thinking about doing a hybrid of P90X/Insanity but was wondering if I should do a straight round of insanity first. Any suggestions. Looking to burn some more fat…
