Thanks for the advice, Edorice. I do need to get my calories up (clean ones that is). I started eating a 1/2 banana in the morning before my workouts so I get some more energy. I eat alot of vegetables and prepare mostly low calorie meals so I'm not really hungry. I will open up my food diary - any suggestions are welcome.

You're a beast Edorice!!!! I did a little bicep work after my fit test this morning. Had some extra time so I thought I would put it to good use. Improved the count on all of the moves for my second fit test (I've detailed them in the "Insanity staring Monday" thread) Still no movement in the scale (although I think my abs…

Took my second fit test this morning. Progress was made for all of the moves. Here's where I'm at: (#1 fit test/#2 fit test) Switchkicks: 53/69 Power jacks: 47/55 Power knees: 90/110 Power jumps: 30/41 Globe jumps: 9/11 Suicide jumps: 10/13 Push-up jacks: 17/23 Low plank oblique: 45/46 I was severly under my calories for…

I've two rounds of P90X (Lean and Classic). I didn't follow the nutrition plan in P90X but I did try and follow the protein/carb/fat ratios. As long as you are keeping track of your calories and eating clean I think you will have success (along with doing the workouts). I would caution assuming you are burning 600 calories…

Pure cardio and cardio abs completed today. 398 calories burned (felt like it should have been more). End of Insanity week 2.

Pure cardio and cardio abs completed this morning. Burned 398 calories. Official end of week 2! Second fit test tomorrow.

Good job. I haven't lost any weight yet (not quite sure how much I really have to lose at this point), but I feel slimmer in the midsection. Put on a skirt for work yesterday and it started sliding off. It wasn't like that a couple of weeks ago. I may need to go on a serious shopping spree when this is over. :flowerforyou:

I believe the Challenge is to complete the Insanity workout program. The program lasts for 60 days. You can find more information on Insanity at beachbody.com.

Core Power and Resistance done this morning. One more workout, and week 2 is done. 326 calories burned. Will be interesting to see how I do on my second fit test.

Here is the one that I bought: Polar FT7 Heart Rate Monitor (Spring 2010) - Women's. It is black and gold (I almost didn't buy this one because those are Steeler colors). I bought mine on Amazon - was $90 - a little over $100 once all the shipping/tax stuff was added on. It came within 4 days I think. I haven't had any…

I'm a mustang girl myself. Just stored my '94 convertible away for the winter yesterday. I love my Polar HRM. It gives you calories burned, avg HR, min and max HR, minutes in fat burning zone or interval zone and stores a bunch of your past training sessions (I guess you can upload the info. to Polar's website but…

Good point. My strap is elastic so it does have some give in it. I would think that it would be able to withstand some type of chest expansion. Although I don't know how much my chest expands when I do push ups. :blushing:
-
You can go online and gets the manuals for the Sportsline watches. I bought a Polar FT7 (after getting frustrated with the Sportsline HRM). I had reservations about the chest strap as well but you really don't feel it at all and I know I'm getting an accurate calorie burn amount.

Hey everyone. I'm just finishing up my 2nd week of Insanity. I completed 2 rounds of P90X before doing Insanity. These workouts are tough but worth it. I don't have much more weight to lose but I'm looking to get rid of the last bit of fat in the midsection. I haven't lost any weight so far but I feel my midsection…

Core cardio completed yesterday, plyo circuit completed today. Closing in on the end of week 2 of my first insanity round.
-
Thanks for the encouragement guys. I really shouldn't care too much about my weight anyway - it's how your clothes fit that matter the most.
-
Cardio power and resistance done. Seemed like I ran out of energy so the calorie burn was only 325. I may need to eat a 1/2 banana or something in the morning before doing these workouts. No weight loss yet (but it's only been a week), but I swear I see (and feel) a difference in my midsection. That's what I…

Good for you Elaine. Don't you just want to give yourself a fist pump when you can fit into something that you haven't been able to for a while? I have the 30 day shred dvd's. Have never done them but you've given me a good idea to maybe try them out on an "off" day. Thanks.
-
Back on track. Got up this morning and did plyo cardio circuit. Feels good to get back on schedule.
-
Good for you getting up in the morning. I was travelling and got delayed getting out of Chicago because of high winds so I got home late and then did not get out of bed this morning. Mad at myself now. Getting back at it tomorrow morning. Been getting too lazy about getting out of bed and then I've got to scramble to…

Well they do say that ignorance is bliss! Completed pure cardio and added on the cardio abs even though the schedule didn't say I had to it. Love the way I feel after these workouts. BR - How about those Browns today???? Never know what you're gonna get with them but it nice to see them kick some butt today.
-
Cardio recovery today. Reminded me of yoga. Looking forward to Pure Cardio tomorrow.
-
Cardipower and resistance done tonight. Had to pause a couple of times but I really did well after I started back up again. Ready for cardio recovery tomorrow (although I understand it's not much of a recovery).
-
I love the Core Syn workout. That is one of the workouts that I have no trouble getting out of bed to go do. Plyo cardio circuit went well this morning. Really struggled with the last round of exercises. HRM registered 341.

I had a sportsline HRM (don't know the model). Never really worked for me. Just invested in a Polar FT7. Using the Polar is night and day fromthe sportsline. Just my opinion though.

Okay so here are my fit test results: Switch kicks: 53 Power jacks: 47 Power knees: 90 Power jumps: 30 Globe jumps: 9 Suicide jumps: 10 Pushup jacks: 17 Low plank oblique: 45 We'll see how I progress.

I hope you are right. All I could think about during the jumps was the movie, "White Men Can't Jump" - I was thinking damn, white women can't jump either. LOL.
-
BR - Hope your hammy (or knee) heals soon. Completed my fit test this morning. Did okay I guess. I will post my results tomorrow (forgot them at home). I know one thing, I'm not a jumper. Running, kicking and pushups yes, jumping, no. Sometimes I wonder if my feet left the ground. LOL. Felt good enough after the fit test…

I was going to wait a week but I figured the recovery week is pretty much rest and I wanted to be done by the end of December. I have one week toward the end of month 1 where I will have to repeat due to some travelling for work. I usually start my weeks on Thursday so I have my rest day on Wednesday. That way I have to…
