hang in there. there are no quick solutions, unfortunately. you're on the right track, just as long as the scale keeps going down instead of up.

I usually eat over my calorie goal on the weekends, but like others have said I view this process as overall behavior change so my cheats these days are rarely like in the pre-MFP days.

I did okay, all things considered. My BF and I planned a strenuous 4.5 hour hike that took up the middle part of the day. On our way there we stopped at IHOP and I managed to consume 1,000 calories on pancakes, but used them up in the hike. Dinner was another 1,000. It was a planned eating day, so it didn't feel like crazyβ¦

hi, i was just diagnosed with and underactive thyroid so this thread is very helpful. my doc tested me three times and my TSH is a 9, well over the upper limit of 4. i'm going on synthroid starting today and hope it helps. i've gained about 15 pounds in the past 3 years despite a very active lifestyle and good to so-soβ¦

what is the weigh-in day for this challenge? and should we all plan to post our weight loss on that day?

I've heard that treadmill running is easier and should feel easier because there isn't any wind or change in terrain. I typically run faster on the treadmill (but like running outside better).

hey there, i have had a lot of success with low carb too and am trying it again. i just started on tuesday but so far so good. i have about 15 pounds to lose. good luck!
