Arielle, Forget about the way it's being worded. If you consume 1800 calories in one day, and in the same day you exercise for 45 minutes burning 400 calories, you have essentially only consumed 1400 calories for the day. 400 calories is the deficit and your body must make up for that by burning fat, thus the weight loss.…
