  • I'm considering downloading Zombies, Run! 2, but I don't keep music files on my iPhone. Can the program be used with a streaming music service like Pandora or Spotify?
  • Bump so I can find this again when I need a push!

  • Ugh. Northwestern is my team. I love 'em but they are consistently heartbreaking.
  • This is me - I'd love to lose 10 pounds, but would be happy with 7 at this point (and it's not that I'm fixated on a number on the scale - there's some definite tummy pudge I'd love to see gone). I'm starting to wonder if getting that lean will require sacrifices I'm just not willing to make - like I'm not willing to not…
  • This thread actually inspired me to make Smitten Kitchen's shakshuka egg dish tonight (eggs poached in tomato sauce). I love this dish - it's probably my favorite egg recipe. http://smittenkitchen.com/2010/04/shakshuka/
  • I'm actually running a heater at my desk right now because our office is so freezing cold. It's ridiculous!
  • Wow, howdy neighbor! I'm in Ravenswood!
  • When my alarm went off to go to the gym this morning my first inclination was to skip the gym and grab an extra hour sleep. Then I remembered I won't have a chance to work out after work and I'm having a mega-indulgence meal this evening (poutine, I die) so I hauled my butt out of bed, made coffee and went to the…
  • That's such a wonderful benefit - what an awesome company! Recently I've decided to splurge on a personal trainer and it has been totally worth the expense. I find she pushes me way harder than I'd ever push myself. Depending on your fitness goals I'd say a personal trainer and gym membership. Though if it were me I'd…
  • I love mine. Just last night I took to dog for a looooong walk to get to my 10,000 steps. I also have a desk job and when I got home after work I saw I was under 5,000. That's definitely exercise I would not have gotten if not for the Fitbit. I went back and forth for about a month before I got one because to me it seemed…

  • This is me, too and yes, it's very frustrating! I also started in April. I'm lifting heavy two or three days and week and running or HIIT two or three more (so working out 4-6 days a week) and haven't lost any inches or pounds. Like you, I've decided it pretty much comes down to diet. I'm eating out at least two times a…
  • I drive and hour to work each day and the fitbit has never logged my driving time as activity. I think it depends on how bumpy your ride is and how much elevation you gain (I live in the flat, flat Midwest, so not a problem here).

  • I didn't have the Nike+ Fuelband but I did have the Nike+ sensor and I only used it for a month or so before ditching it for a Garmin Forerunner GPS. I never much cared for either the device or the web interface (though that was two years ago - I'm sure they've improved it a lot). It, like the Garmin, was really only…

  • I am obsessed with this broiled tilapia parmesan recipe. I make it at least once a week. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/broiled-tilapia-parmesan/
  • My trainer gave me this one - walk at the highest incline for 2 minutes (at my gym that's 15%) then run fast for two minutes (I usually go about 5.5 mph) walk for one minute at at 2% incline, then start over. I also dread steady running on the treadmill as I find it incredibly boring. This keeps my mind more engaged and I…
  • Marking this for later - forcing myself to eat salad is always such a struggle!
  • I live in Chicago and I'm never sure why people recommend Navy Pier. It's pretty much a strip mall/tourist trap. I will say the giant Ferris Wheel is really fun and gives you a great view of the city. Millennium Park is gorgeous and there are often free concerts there during the summer. It's right across the street from…
  • I love cute workout clothes! I find them really motivating, but I refuse to pay Lulu prices for them. Target C9 sports bras are my favorite. They hold things in, wash well, come in a bunch of cute colors, and are pretty cheap. I went into Old Navy for the first time in ages recently and was really impressed with their new…
