To not be dying in the summer heat. To walk up a set of stairs and not feel like im gonna die

My issue is portion control I would look at the packet of something and it'd say serves four. I'd just think to myself not anymore it doesn't!

I'm pretty sure that along as you get your heart rate up nice and high in that time you should be fine. Don't quote me on that as I'm no expert but I seem to be doing just fine doing it the same way as you. I can burn 600 calories in 35 mins on the cross trainer

What she said :)

Of course it's worth it. 20-30 mins is better than no minutes. I do cross trainer one day and walking/running intervals the next day.

I want to be an athlete again

My friend gave me hemo rage today, I think it's similar. The guy in the supplements shop said that they're having to take it off the shelf. We stocked up. Great stuff, I had so much energy at today's workout.

I'm ridiculously broke right now due to having to take time off of work while immigration mess around with my visa. I'm eating real unhealty stuff like 2 minute noodles etc. One thing I have noticed is my sodium is always way over, I drink a lot of green tea and water to help with this. I do some form of cardio daily even…

Cool thanks for this! Very helpful

Thank you, a direct straight to the point answer. Although today I did burn 1000 and not eat it back I don't usually burn that high and yesterday I ate more than 1000 over so I was trying to fix that, it's actually 5am thursday morning here so no eating back for me, it's a new day. From all the advice this thread has given…

Hell yeah!

I had No doubt that it exists, I truely believe starvation mode is real and does happen. My main queries were as an obese person eating 1600 calories can i get away with not eating back exercise calories or will this cause damage to me
-
Please do. I'm amused
-
Yes! My housemate has this, I'm definately ordering one on pay day, it's fantastic, I'd recommend it to anyone trying to quit!

I love that this has caused a bit of a debate. I'm finally getting some answers. I think I'm going to obviously stick to my 1600 a day and aim to eat back maybe 50% or more of my exercise calories. As for quitting smoking, I will do it this time but I will be doing it along side my diet and exercise plan, I wanna be fit…

They are some really good ideas. Thank you. At the moment ive been trying to replace cigarettes with green tea, drinking it not smoking it, it helps a bit
-
Wow keep it up

Oh no BMR and TDEE. I got myself so confused by this. MFP set my daily calorie goal way lower than my BMR I actually upped it a bit myself
-
Oooh I understand now. Thank you
-
It's definately not a regular occurrence. First time I've had an "off" day in a while. Thanks so much for your advice
-
Do you eat back exercise calories. I'm eating 1600 before exercise
-
I'm not sure I understand what you mean
-
Just to make everyone aware I did not intend for this to be a starvation mode war. I'm not saying that I'm a 52kg chick who eats only 800 calories. I do believe that you can do yourself damage by starving yourself. I do not intend to starve myself, I couldn't if I tried, I just love cake way too much.

No offense taken at all. I have realised how bad smoking is and since I've started working out and feeling healthier I feel that I have to quit in order to get back to the level of fitness i was once at. Fortunately I'm not a really heavy smoker on average I smoke about 5 cigarettes a day so I'm really gonna try and kick…

You guys are all so fantastically helpful. I was really worried about posting this topic as I know it's been a much talked about subject on here. Thank you all so much for helping me with this one :)

I do not at all intend to starve myself, i'd still be eating 1600 but trying not to eat back all of my exercise calories, easier said then done. All i really wondered is, would this be safe. Eating 1600 calories burning 700 calories and not eating them back. So confused

You are awesome.
