  • That's lovely thankyou :-D
  • I also have an AWESOME husband! He: - calls me gorgeous everyday - makes me laugh everyday - listens to me when I want to grumble!! - is an AMAZING father to our daughter - makes me hot chocolate when it's the dreaded TOM and puts a movie on to allow me to cry too :-) - surprises me with breakfast in bed - is supportive of…
  • Hi everyone, thankyou for your posts. The above blog was particularly useful along with the responses to the blog. I think I'll hold out buying one but might treat myself to a HRM as I think that may suit my requirements more. I do like the idea that it syncs automatically to a website but I think that would add more…
  • I always sub ordinary salad leaves for spinach, it has so much more flavour!! Love raw spinach! Yay for spinach!
  • And don't be surprised if, like others have said, you do start losing more now that your eating 1420! I stopped doing 1200 about 2 months ago (I was actually coming into maintenance and wanted to slow my weight loss down and all of a sudden I had a surge in weight loss!) now I eat 1500 to lose (net) and 1700 - 1800 to…
  • Hi I'm 5 ft 5.5 and currently maintaining at 119-122 I don't have much muscle though so I'm hoping to change that soon! I'm a UK size 8
  • Nuts, advocados, olive oil, truffle oil, salmon, bananas....all excellent for you, healthy and high in calories! You could also eat more rice and pasta to bulk out your diary if you are struggling. :-)
  • It does always puzzle me when people talk about 'saving up' extra calories, or alcohol or other treats etc....we wouldnt dream of saving up our fruit and veg rations and cram that into one day...nor would we not exercise at all, all week just to do it all in one day!! So why do we presume we can do this with the naughty…
  • You look fantastic! Well done! I posted a topic very similar to this just the other day. When I first joined MFP in September I read a similar post and it inspired me so much it was just what I needed! My profile picture was taken just the other day, my little girl is 20 months old. Still have some work to do but am quite…
  • Hi, I have a 20 month old. Happy to take new friend requests :-)
  • Thankyou once again everyone for your kind words! When I did still have my 'pooch' I saw that somebody else had done a post similar to this. I found it so inspiring, I vowed to one day post one similar! If I lean forward my tummy still 'flops!!' and it's on the squishy side when I sit down!!! But it is SO much smaller than…
  • Amazing, amazing, AMAZING!!! You give me hope that I can now tone my tummy!! I would love to have your abs!!
  • Here is a link I posted earlier. It shows me pregnant at 36 weeks, I did get much bigger too! Baby girl was 9.2, had a Mummy pooch until these last few months where I've been doing specific tummy exercises. Still have a little way to go, but I hope my current tummy picture offers hope and motivation. Huge congratulations…
  • If you are 5'8" this is NOT a healthy goal. This would give you a BMI of 17.6 which would put you at the bottom of underweight category (borderline anorexia). A healthy BMI range is 18.5-25. When females fall into the 'underweight category' the are at risk of some serious effects, some of which can affect their ability to…
  • Thankyou all so much! I do have tons of stretch marks but fortunately they have turned silver white and are harder to see on my fair skin....they used to be deep purple and did take a while to fade....I can strongly recommend helichrysum essential oil to anyone with stretch marks (I got mine from E-bay)...add a few drops…
  • Mines open and I'm from the UK (currently living in Scotland, but hoping to move back to England in November)....I'm on a cheat day today so nothing will be filled in! Back on track sun/mon...I'm now maintaining. Add me if you like :-)
  • The photo doesn't really show my stretch-marks, but they are defineitley there! I was lucky in that they turned Silver and with me being so fair, the camera doesn't pick them up so well. I used creams to lighten them, and added helichrysum essential oil to them for an extra boost! I also took collagen tablets as they help…
  • Phew! Thankyou everyone! I was beginning to regret posting them as no one seemed to be saying anything at all! As I say it's taken 20months to get something similar to what I had pre-pregnacy. It took me courage to post these as I'm quite a private person and only my hubby ever sees any of my body!! Even if we go to the…
  • Any comments welcome! It's taken months for me to pick up the courage to post these pictures!! maybe I should re-post when I've toned up at bit?
  • This is me 20 months post pregnancy. Baby girl was 9.2 and my tummy was huge through pregnancy! I have just posted a topic showing my pregnant tummy at 36weeks. My stretch marks initially were deep purple but are now silver-white, because of my fair skin they are harder to see but the are very much there!! I used bio-oil…
  • I agree with this and can strongly recommend doing plank exercises. You don't want to be doing crunches if you have diastasis recti...my daughter was 9.2 and my diastasis recti was so bad I had to wear a large bandage (tubi-grib) across my stomach to help pull the muscles back together. I did several of the exercises that…
  • I too have noticed that so many posts turn nasty and once one starts.... When I first joined I was subject to a lot of abuse from a post I responded too about eating out in America...the OP basically was questioning how a person is supposed to lose weight when restaurants give you massive portions!! I basically said that I…
  • I agree that you need to up your calorie intake. I started this journey on 1200 calories and then gradually increased this up to 1450 and was still losing, then I gradually increased to maintenance. I'm back on 1450 now as I have a few pounds still to lose from the holidays. Good luck and I hope the scales start shifting…
  • Yikes! I think you're right!
  • Great idea! I've just found a few twins! My stats: GW: 119-123 SW: 135 CW: 121.5 Height: 5' 5.5" Age: 30 Add me if you like :-)
  • Count me in! A sense of humour is always welcome!
  • This is tough and finishing my daughters meals and a few of her other treats was my greatest weakness!! I have a separate cupboard for all treats so I'm not seeing it everyday (I love fresh fruit and veg, but yes I do also like cookies and chocolate!!) I fill the kitchen with healthy snacks such as carrot sticks, nuts,…
  • I've also put a few pounds on over the festive period! I think I've put on 3 pounds, but it's TOM for me at the moment so I'm not sure exactly how many I've put on! Scales say 5! I've dropped my cals back down to 1450 which equates to about 0.5 pounds per week, my plan is to eat this for a short while until I'm sure the…
  • I reached my goal weight 2 weeks before Christmas and am currently within my maintenance range (I did go a bit crazy over Christmas and put on a few pounds, but I'm back on track now!) once I've shed the Christmas weight I'll be good through the week and not worry about calories at the weekend....am I happy doing this?…
  • Ps - id just like to point out that my diary is not that accurate for the last week! As there have been several times in the week that I've binged after my diary was completed!! I've not logged those binges as I keep just trying to brush it off so I can start again tomorrow....if anyone has some tips I'd love to hear them!!
