I was 9 when my youngest brother was born. My other younger brother & I stayed at one of my parent's friend's house for about a day. TTC our first, so I don't have any insight from this side of the experience.

Yeah, I don't know why it didn't cross my mind that having steady hormones was making my weightloss go so smoothly... damn...

Glad to have found this thread. I recently went off birth control that kept me from getting a period for the last few years. My weight has been doing some strange things, so I decided to stay off the scale for a while. Reading through these posts & how the weight changes are connected to monthly cycles is definitely going…

Isn't the whole point to be SMALLER? You don't walk around with a big sign that tells the world the number that pops up on a scale. So what does it matter how much you weigh? Good gracious.

Badass! You have a lot to be proud of.
-
Are you taking measurements? If not, I'd suggest starting to track bust, waist & hips at least. Measure once a month or so.

When I lived in a more populated area I took pole classes. I loved it. It made me feel sexy & it was something I enjoyed that got me moving.

Yeah, get a hobby. You have 12 hours a day to fill? Find something(s) you enjoy doing & go do it/them. Bonus points if it gets you moving. But it doesn't have to.

Awesome! Congrats on impressive progress!

Some people are just built differently. My brother in law has HUGE calves. Even when he's out of shape. That's just how he's built. Your calves may or may not get smaller. I know that's not what you want to hear, but it's certainly a possibility. I guess I'm just confused about why it's a problem. I understand that finding…

Bahaha yeah. I was whining to a buddy who does crossfit about how I feel like such a wuss in the gym. Women doing amazing things with plates & plates while I deadlift with the bar. He says, "yeah, when I first started doing crossfit, I felt like such a weakling. My friends were doing snatches with almost 300lbs, while I…

Maybe I'm lazy, but for something like that, I'd look up "homemade deep fried pickles" & enter the one I thought was most accurate.

The world is not perfect. You will not perfectly hit your macros & calories every single day. Make peace with that & your life will be much easier.

Plan to eat something when you get home. And have it READY. Something to munch so you have time/energy to make dinner (if that's part of your routine.) My mess ups always come from lack of planning. I felt starving after getting off work, but didn't have any fast, easy options, so I caved to junk food that was laying…

Without reading any other replies.... YAAAAAAS. I love frozen blended bananas! I usually do one with cocoa powder or chocolate chips. One scoop of pb is usually enough if I'm doing that flavor. If it fits your calories &/or macros, you're good to go. I do it for late night snacks sometimes because it's better than the…

Lolz this is why we're MFP friends...

Aside from not putting your pin back, I don't see what she did wrong. If your breaks between sets are multiple minutes long why can't someone work in?

Revive this thread please! Sad that so many pics are not showing up on the old posts. I'm trying to get into lifting, but have a bum shoulder at the moment (starting physical therapy next week). Definitely feeling discouraged that I haven't been able to progress & get the results I want. Would love to see the successes of…

Woohoo! Congratulations! You are right to celebrate. Enjoy the journey & congratulate yourself every single time you make progress. That will get you through the long haul.

Boomsauce. Can always count on Ninerbuff to drop the knowledge. Balance. Go out, have a little & have some FUN. And if you find that what your friends are doing isn't fun anymore, find some new friends. I certainly had to so that at one point. "Clubbing" had stopped being fun, so I had to go out and make an effort to hang…

Another suggestion for Strong Curves. Hip thrusts & glute bridges.

Some people just have chubby cheeks. I am one of those people. I always have a "baby face," No matter how low my weight goes. I'll never have defined cheekbones. My face/cheeks will always be a little round. it's just the way my face is shaped. Sounds like maybe that's your "issue" too? I'd say make peace, stop worrying &…

Nice job! Commendable dedication. Building muscle is much slower/harder than straight losing weight. You have lots to be proud of.
-
How awesome! Congratulations to you. You should be very proud of yourself.

WOW. what an amazing transformation. It's so cool that you used the same thread throughout your whole journey. VERY cool. You should be incredibly proud of yourself.

I'm sorry that you felt like I was pushing you off. That was certainly not my intent. I hope you are able to find the connection and support you desire.

Thank you @SweetP27!

How awesome! It always rocks when you find that "thing" that works for you & your body. Congratulations!

So sorry to hear this @lexi3500. I cannot imagine how hard it would be to deal with that diagnosis. You are more than wekcome to add me, but i have no knowledge or experience in that arena. Have you tried looking for online support groups or forums specifically for people dealing with cancer? Maybe they would be better…

Woohoo! Good luck. I'm 5'6" as well. Started at 165 around new years & am about 8 lbs from my goal of 140. You can do this! Feel free to add me as a friend.
