Welcome! Are you taking measurements as well? You may find these more telling than the scale :) Good luck - looks like you are off to a great start!

I've used that excuse as well. My little guy is just 7 months (today!), but if I am honest with myself, my weight had been creeping up long before the pregnancy! I have been using the site for most of September, and I've already had a lot of success! My lifestyle habits are slowly changing, and I'm finding the community…

Welcome! I'm a new mom too (7 month old boy). Feel free to add me - we can help eachother get rid of these "pregnancy" pounds.

I find if I deprive myself, then I am just bound to binge... So far, the approach that has been working is saving the "treat" (and believe me, I have one daily) for the end of the day. It is nice to sit down and savour some chocolate AFTER I know I've eaten well, stayed within my calorie range, gotten some exercise, etc.…

Welcome! You've taken the first step! I think you will find the site motivating...Good luck!

I'm a a new mom (and a teacher as well). My son is 7 months now...I have been on this site for a few weeks, and wish I had found it before I got pregnant! I think you will find it useful - I have found more success than any other method I've tried. The community support / accountability is a huge help. It is hard to take…

Don't give up - you have already had so much success!! Try to find some foods that are filling, delicious, but not too high in calories? Drink water? Eat slower? I'm sure you've heard it all before - but perhaps hearing it again will give you a boost? Hang in there!

Welcome! I am a mom of a 7 month old, and I have been on here for about two weeks or so (already seeing results!) I have found that logging in every day, being totally honest, having some friends who can see your diary (so that you are accountable), and changing my habits slowly, one at a time, is working well! I have…

I too have a weakness for chocolate...And I eat some every day... I have those little mini chocolate bars (the ones for halloween), and I save them for an "end of the day" treat. i.e. If I've done well that day, I've gotten some exercise, I'm on track for calories, then I get to have some! I can never eat just one...but…

Looks like the neat thing about this site is that there is no ONE way to do it. So many different people are using it in a variety of ways to meet their own needs. Whatever works for you, great!

Welcome! I have been using the site for about two weeks, and I'm already seeing results! Log everything honestly, change habits slowly, and build up a support team. I found it useful to not make too many changes at first, just see what I was doing. Then I tried making small changes one at a time. So far so good! Feel free…

Love the bento box idea!

Welcome! As you use the site, you will see there are a number of members who have successfully lost large amounts of weight. You can do it! I haven't been on for long, but already I feel as if it is different than other things I've tried. I have made it a part of my day - I log honestly (no matter what the slip up!), I let…

Ice cream...definitely ice cream..so many flavours and textures to choose from. I'd never get bored :)

Don't be discouraged! I just recently signed up to this site, and I hate "going to the gym". I do want to lose weight, but if it means 2 hours of working out 5 days a week, I think I'll pass! There are so many other things I want to do with my time:) Instead, I'm just trying to get out for a walk each day with my baby in…

I haven't been on the site for too long, but I'm already having success! I have found it helpful to take things slow. I didn't change my habits very much to start - I just logged in each day and tracked honestly. Then I chose a small thing to change at a time - drink more warer, start walking, eat more veggies, etc. I also…

Try not to think of it as falling off the wagon. You had a fun weekend, indulged a bit, nothing wrong with that. As long as your regular day doesn't look like that. As the saying goes, everything in moderation, including moderation!

Welcome! My first baby is almost 7 months old now...I wish I had heard about this site before the pregnancy, maybe I wouldn't have gained so much from it! Good luck and enjoy the process!

I have a 6 month old, and though I can't fully understand how you must be feeling, it is heartbreaking to think of it. Lean on those around you for support...take care and good luck.

I think you'll find this site useful! Take it slow, be honest in tracking, make small changes...and make sure you connect to at least a few "friends" who can view your diary (I find it helpful when I know someone else can see what I've been doing!)

No specific diet for me, I just try to stay within my calorie requirements. I DO let myself have the things I love every day (i.e. chocolate) but in small portions. Calorie counting seems to be working, though I am concious not to make it just about calories...Eating within the calorie limit but having most of it be junk…

If you like Indian food, I love making a batch of Aloo Gobi (curried cauliflower and potato). It actually tastes better a day or two after making it, and is great to heat up as lunches at work. It is about 200 cals per serving (could be less if you didn't use the potato...though I find it important to make you feel full!)…

I suspect you get a pretty decent workout at school! I'm a teacher too, so I know how tired you feel at the end of the day...Is there another activity you can do that does double duty? (i.e. bike to work, speed walk to the store rather than drive, take a brisk walk at lunch) Perhaps there are ways to embed physical…

I'm "water picky" - I find the colder it is, the better. Try ice cubes? Or some lemon?

Logging your food on this site HONESTLY will help. For me, I started by just eating whatever I normally would and logging it for a few days. Then I took a look at it and started making small changes. The first time I was "under my calorie goal" was great - and now I find it motivating! I also find eating slower to be…
