I've been doing this two weeks and have lost 11lb. I haven't been starving myself at all, so I think it is just the lifestyle change which makes it come off fast first. I expect it will slow down heaps for the next two weeks.

Since two weeks ago I've lost 3.2kg (7.05lb). Not sure if that's good or bad but I'm ok with it as long as I keep losing.

I'm not British, but we use grams in New Zealand too, like most of the world. I would use a kitchen scale for the flour if the recipe asked for flour in grams, but most recipes would state the flour quantity in cups of course.

I remember being told by a weight loss adviser that when I eat bananas only to eat them when they are still fresh and yellow. Once they have gone brown and soft all the insides have been converted to sugars so they are less healthy.

It doesn't sound like a very pleasant place to work at all. Just make sure you keep losing weight - that will show them and then they'll be furious that they think you can pig out and still lose.

I don't have that problem.. I nearly always end on meat or a potato if there is one though.

Ok.. go to Apps and press on tickers. Then press on the update ticker button and it will allow you to re-enter your starting weight. So you can at least have a ticker a the bottom of your posts that show your current relevant weight loss effort.

I know what you mean.. because after joining I went away and put on some weight.. came back and it took weeks to get back down to my joining weight and so it kept saying I was losing 0 on the meter. I didn't really look for a solution, but I'll have a look now...

I get them when I run, but I know from previous experience that when I am lighter I don't get them. I would suggest you do something lower impact until you are light enough for your shins to take your weight without giving you shin splints. Maybe get a pair of scales that shows fat and muscle composition and then you'll know whether it's turned into muscle or if you're doing something wrong diet wise. Look at other peoples food diaries too who have been successful and see what they have been eating to get results.

Just eat normal and exercise like normal. If you start starving yourself to make up for it for a few hours you'll only stress your body. Just forget it happened, and go back to your normal healthy plan.

Ok.. just used that website and it clearly means uncooked rice on MFP. Well I probably won't be weighing out 100g of uncooked rice - that would make SO much! lol. I'll have to find another way to enter it.

I saw fitbit advertised in a local store today - I was kind of excited - because I've been thinking of getting it but I'd have to send away. Which fitbit device do you have? I might hold off until they stock the newest fitbit they're about to release in march.
