  • welcome, this site really does help you, I am kind of a lazy person when it comes to exercising so I don't do a whole lot of it, but I do watch my calories intake and I have been using this site for 2 monthes now and I have lost 15 lbs. Best of luck to you.
  • I weigh myself everyday and I do notice the fluctuations, but on the days where it says I've gained weight then I push myself a little harder and ultimately it pays off.
  • awesome, great job, I know I love it when that happens.
  • I heard the college in grand junction colorado is really good for nursing, I just moved here 3 years ago and although we don't have the ocean, the colorado river is just down the road and we have mountains and desert here.
  • I use to drink mt. dew everyday, but I have now switched to diet mt. dew and it only took me a day to get use to it and I love it, I drink 1 or 2 cans a day, love the caffeine. I drink alot of water also.
  • I don't really like horror movies anymore but when I did watch them I think the Halloween movies were my favorite, I love Jaimi Lee Curtis and the original house from the first movie that Michael Meyers lived in my friends and I went there one halloween and went inside of it. It was really freaky, the house had been…
  • It's been 6 weeks since I started on here and I keep telling myself I am going to have a cheat day, but I find myself still counting those calories and not letting myself go over, I to think I'm going to screw up the weight I've lost. But I am up at my daughters for 4 days and we are celebrating her birthday tonight so I…
  • I read that if you took an ice bath for 20 minutes 3 times a week you would only lose between 1 to 4 lbs. depending on the person, that is not enough weight loss for me to sit in an ice bath.
  • are you staying within your calorie goals?
  • I love the name Pepper, it also reminds me of Pepper on the movie Annie, she was the tough girl in that movie.
  • good luck and don't cut out all your favorites because then the craving for them will soon catch up to you and you'll want to eat alot of it. When I crave a little of something I really like I just watch the portions I eat and keep within my calories. That satisfies me enough that I don't binge.
  • I use to have anxiety so bad I didn't want to do anything, but I had found that the best way for me was to get my mind off of it because when you have that anxiety and the more you think about it the more you feel it. So I would exercise to help me with that, But there were some underlying issues on why I was having all…
  • I like my sugar free stuff as well, but it all still has calories so I count them all so I don't go over my calories for the day.
  • thanks for sharing that, now I understand and I won't be so upset that it's taking longer for my belly.:)
  • I'm sure it has alot to do with it. Give yourself some time, before you know it, it will be coming off, are you breastfeeding? Your body needs time to heal after having a baby and it takes time for your hormones to get use to just you now and not you and your baby. Be patient and just keep doing what you are doing you will…
  • if you want brownies, then eat some, I ate a brownie last night and 2 chocolate dipped strawberries, I just made sure through out the day that I kept my calories a little low so that I could have those things last night at a party I was at. I have not given up on anything I like to it, I just watch the portions and stay…
  • If you really want to do it, then I would, it doesn't matter if you come in last place or not, the accomplishment of just doing it is something in itself.
  • count me in, I am peri-menapausal also, it is very frustrating, I have gained most of my weight in my belly and although I am losing the weight now, 16lbs since I started counting calories 10 of those since I have been on this site and I am not really seeing that big of a difference yet, my periods are so screwed up I…
  • you can do exercises that don't require you to be on your feet until you heal, focus more on upper body exercises there are lots of them you can do sitting down. I hope you recover quickly.
  • if you have been on steroids then the 3 lbs. that you have gained is probably more muscle then fat, hence muscle weighs more than fat and steroids help to produce larger muscles.
  • It's definately different body shapes and also depends on where you buy your clothes, every company has different size models they use for sizing there clothes, strange but true. I am 5 ft. 7 and I currently weigh 163 lbs. and I still have some clothes that fit me that are size 14, now I know I look smaller than Ricki Lake…
  • oh my goodness, you look fabulous, you are such an inspiration and I am so proud of your accomplishment so far, keep on doing what you are doing because it is working. Awesome job.
  • I think your post is good and to LorLNill if you had read the whole post then you would have seen that this person plans on moving up to the next step which is 1500 calories and change his eating lifestyle, that is just how this person is starting out. If the plan works for you that is great, I know that my daughter did…
  • you may friend me if you like, I am going through the perimenapause also, I am slowly losing the weight but the exercise part for me seems to be a little harder, I don't really have the energy to do a whole lot. And I am also wondering if because I haven't had a period in 2 monthes if that is keeping some weight on me.

  • very well said, my daughter tried the hcg diet and yes she lost alot of weight in no time at all, but because you lose it so quickly and you con't continue on with it, the weight just gets put right back on again and then some. Like you said it is a lifestyle change not a quick fix.
