I'm on week 3 of the classic. Last year around this time I did the Lean version and lost 23 lbs. I didn't keep all the weight off throughout the last year but kept off well over 10lbs most of the time. I really like both versions. I've never used the recovery drink. I usually workout in the mornings first thing, then for…

Checking in for the first time in a while... I'm battling a nasty sinus infection, I'm still only one day behind schedule. I'm finally giving in and going to the Dr. today though, so I may have to shut it down for a day or two. Hate this stuff. Seriously considering getting allergy shots, I deal with this stuff all the…

I count these calories also. I'm a machine when mowing the yard. Its like I'm in a race with all my other suburban neighbors to get the yard done. Yesterday I scalped and bagged my whole yard in just under two hours (its a large yard). I logged it all but didn't eat all the exercise calories as MFP said I burned over 850…

This recipe could be a problem for me. See I generally eat biscuits with breakfast. So early in the morning I have to use half a beer to bake with. Well we all know what will happen to the other half of that beer...

It follows, but the pull-ups are two sets and the legs are one set. So you have to loop back around to the 4 pull up exercises. Several of the lifting exercises are like that. There's some kinda method to Tony's madness!

Did Legs and Back this morning! Week 2 day 5 done. Could barely climb the stairs after I was done this morning. In some serious pain here at the office. A good pain! Bring It!

I don't know that weight loss was accelerated during recovery week, but it seemed to me that I didn't start really losing lbs until near the 30 day mark. Then it went off fast through the last 60 days. I don't think the delay in loss is from gain as much as from sore muscles retaining water to repair. I lost 23lbs doing…

Completed my Ab Ripper last night and did Yoga (One on One version) this morning. Still having mild abdominal pain during plank, pushups, and upward dog. Not enough pain to stop me though. Keep bringing it everybody!

He said most! There's still a chance... (for you, not me)

I don't use smileys with dudes. But that's not the situation here. The situation is a guy texting or FBing with a girl. A girl he is dating. I've been married for the whole text/FB era... but I'd imagine given the stupid stuff I did and said to girls when I was single that I would be all up in the smileys, especially if it…

Update from my weekend. Only got about halfway through Chest and Back on Saturday. I started getting a bad abdominal strain just under my right ribs when doing push ups. It hurt so bad I had to completely stop the workout. Don't know what I did but it was right above a scar from having my gall bladder removed 18 months…

Did Kenpo this morning. This basically finishes my week 1 of Classic, although I do plan to stretch tomorrow. I like to do the stretch if I'm sore when it comes around and I have been very sore all week so I know I need it! Good job all, keep it up!

I used to dual-boot my laptop with ubuntu. However my wife's laptop quit charging so I had to remove it for her to be able to work on my laptop. Listen to SHBoss, he knows of what he speaks. Try a LiveCD first.

As others have suggested, get it on CraigsList or EBay. I got mine from a friend for $50, but didn't have the books. Most of the book information is available online, especially if you look for the 'P90Xcel' spreadsheet which is a free download. I don't know anything about the knockoffs.

Kenpo is by far my least favorite P90X workout. In my first round of P90X I substitute for it often. I'd run, swim, etc. in its place. I think the important thing is to get some good cardio in those days. I may sub in some Insanity workouts or running for it this time as I just started P90X again on 3/5, but I'm going to…

Nope. Its Core Syn every week, lifting twice a week, and CardioX/KenpoX for Cardio days. And Yoga, can't forget YogaX.

I lost 23lb and gained about 10lb of muscle with the Lean. (I used the P90Xcel spreadsheet and its the numbers from that, not sure how accurate it is on the muscle gain.) I liked Lean, but by the end I was really wanting more lifting. So I'm thinking the Classic is more for me. Did Legs and Back today, wow that was brutal.…

I started my second round of P90X on Saturday 3/5. Doing the classic version this time, as I did the Lean version last year around this time. I haven't had any problems getting back on the horse so far, except Plyo killed me. I never did it in the Lean version so that was a totally new and rough experience. I still feel…

I've been doing a garden for a number of years. Its not big but its enough to keep my family and I happy. I do tomatoes, peppers, squash (yellow, zucchini, and butternut) , green beans, strawberries, cucumbers, and radishes. I've done onions, carrots, melons and other items but I've found that if I get too much growing…

This may not be the most accurate, but when I was doing P90X last year I found somwhere (probably on the BB forums) to estimate 400-500 calories per workout. I made my own exercise in MFP of 450 calories and manually adjusted my carb/protein/fat rations for each phase. I entered that 450 calorie burn all six days a week. I…

SHBoss1673 covered the things I was going to say... also, if you're in good with the IT folks sometimes they'll hook you up with the unmonitored firewall/proxy... but I don't give away that information usually. I'm a jerk like that, plus I like my job. Being an IT admin definitely has its privileges...

Their grilled chicken salads are pretty low in calories. I also like their Balsamic Vinaigrette, its pretty low in calories and fat. The Southwest dressing isn't bad either.

Check out the 'Man 2 Man' thread. It's all guys and sports and weight loss. No talk about TOM or other stuff we don't want to hear. I'll see if I can find it to bump it.

Thanks. I was hesitant to get this before because I've never even completed C25K and it was $10. Now its there ready for me when I am running again and it was free. Win-Win!

I did this also...

I loved my Ipod touch... now my wife has it though... I loved it so much I got tired of carrying it and a phone all the time and got the iPhone4 this summer. Apps... Words with Friends Epicurious (recipes, even makes shopping lists) Google (has voice search, love it!) MyFitnessPal Skype Accuweather (like this better than…

1490 seems really low. I'm almost the same as him (195, 5'11"), I eat around 1800 + exercise calories and the weight and inches keep coming off. Its not an instant process but since February I've lost 35 pounds.

I have a suggestion. Once you update your weight, have it calculate your daily calorie intake with the 'Active' setting and note this number. Then change it back to the Sedentary setting and keep MFP on this setting. Make a new custom exercise for the difference in the two calorie intake levels and use this exercise on the…

I've been battling a sinus infection and haven't been working out, but somehow last almost 2.8 lb since last week to land at 195.2. Not sure I believe it though, as this happened in the spring when I had a sinus infection also and the weight came back once I was off the antibiotic and decongestant.

Hey guys... read through most of this post and I'd like to join you guys. I'm 34, 5'11", and as of this morning 198lbs. I started the year around 230. Started tracking my calorie intake after the Super Bowl and lost about 15lbs by just eating clean and drinking lots of water. Did P90X (lean version) from mid March until…
