The avocado should be soft when pressed on. Cut in half and scoop it out it's shell, much like cantaloupe. Discard the seed. If you cube it, it is great with cubed grill chicken. Hi Sherry, I hear you. I gave up a year ago - got lazy - no excuses. I now need to lose 30 pounds and am setting a goal of 6 pounds/month. Started back at the gym today and logging in. My hardest time is at work - there is always junk food available to eat. Good luck - I'll watch for your posts. K9resque
