  • That's the kind of help I need, I know what I need to do as far as eating and exercising. It's that dang mind of mine that keeps getting in my way!
  • I have been listening to Eat, Pray, Love but find sometimes it's hard to get motivated when listening to a book versus music. I have a hard time reading while on the treadmill, my eyesight just ain't what it used to be. :grumble: I can read while warming up but once I get going there is no way because the reading material…
  • I bought this at Costco last night and started reading it, she's hilarious. I'm only at the 2nd chapter but I'm hooked. Thanks for the tip! :flowerforyou:
  • Welcome! :flowerforyou: You should have accounted for the amount of walking you do in your lifestyle choice (sedentary, light activty, etc.) you made when you signed up. Your caloric intake will be based on that information. Best of luck!

  • That's good to know. That's where I am right now and not getting ANYWHERE. Sounds like I need to concentrate on getting in better shape and then maybe try her food and exercise plan. Good info, thanks! :flowerforyou:
  • Sigh... I'm feeling exhausted by it all. I've not lost any weight or inches. :grumble: I will keep doing it, I have faith it will happen but truly just exhausted by it all right now. • Yes, SO wish I had said no thanks!
  • WOW!!!! I was have a spectacularly well planned day today. I planned to take my sister to an Italian restaurant that she had never been too. I decided what I was having before we went (minestrone soup, salad), logged it all into my journal (including the glass of wine!) and off I went. I am typically not a dessert person…
  • I have renewed energy today, I'm walking without limping. I'm thinking I'll be back doing my cardio (NOT running) by Monday. I want to make sure I'm healed! I do think I can at least do my Pilates and Yoga tonight and of course the push-ups and sit-ups for the challenges! Friday is my check-in day and I haven't weighed…
  • I've tried using that but I've not had any luck. I start entering my ingredients and nothing comes up. I'm sure it's operator error but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong! :grumble:
  • I made regular spaghetti last week and was VERY disappointed in my serving size. 2 oz. of pasta is not enough! I like volume. I got to have seconds of this!! The recipe is for 6 servings. I hope you enjoy it!
  • From the American Diabetes Association, found on Allrecipes. I made this last night, I added an extra can of Italian tomatos and some fresh mushrooms and sprinkled lightly with low-fat Italian cheese. It was AWESOME! Enjoy! :drinker: SPICY SPAGHETTI SQUASH 1 small spaghetti squash, halved and seeded 1 TBL olive oil 1/2 cup…
  • Uh...how 'bout sharing that with the rest of us. I LOVE sweet potato fries but can never get them crispy enough! Puleeze????
  • I feel blessed to be living in CA right now, it's beautiful and sunny outside. Considering the state of the state, it's the only GOOD thing I have to say about the state at the moment. So...no excuses for me!
  • I have no idea where I'm at. I screwed up my knee running (doctor told me 30 years ago that running was not the right exercise for me with my arthritis...should have listened). It hurts like a...like a...well you know...it hurts a lot! :grumble: Not just doing cardio but pilates and yoga too. Trying to be diligent about…
  • I made this the other night, FANTASTIC! It's definitely a keeper! :drinker:
  • This is what I have been told this as well. Cardio is actually a cool down from the weight lifting!
  • Me too, but I suppose there are worse addictions!

  • I'm originally from San Diego, CA, I spent about 23 years in Seattle, WA but now live in Sacramento, CA.
  • Done that one too and it wasn't my house or chair!
  • I'm glad you posted! This sounds like me. I have been here seriously working at this for the past three weeks and I"ve gained weight. I am not giving up but am frustrated. :grumble: I know my body will figure it out. I always have been a little slow on the upstart :ohwell:
  • You stand up at the backyard bbq and the chair is still attached to your *kitten* (this one happened to me!)
  • I have those feelings for pizza... [/quote] Oh boy me too, I LOVE me some pizza!
  • Sigh....I'm very frustrated. Today is weigh in day and I'm up a pound. I've been here three weeks and I just keep gaining. I've also managed to injure my knee and now cannot do my typical cardio. I tend to forget I'm nearly 50 and my doctor told me 30 years ago that I should not run. I've been having so much fun with my…
