  • I'm in Cali so I just finished my workout. I am happy to report I did it. 45 minutes of Turbo Jam, I forgot how much I like that. Anyway my HRM says I burned 511 calories so that leaves my over 900 calories for dinner which I will most definitely not need. We're having some grilled chicken, cauliflower and a nice green…
  • Yep I'm there...look for me! Kat (aka Kathy Kushner)
  • I went to school in Edmonds but lived everywhere from Everett, Snohomish, Monroe and West Seattle, somewhat of a vagabond! =) I love the Pacific Northwest. The only reason I don't still live there is because my husband at the time could not find work. You know how it is, if Boeing isn't doing well, no one is doing well. He…
  • Jill, I can relate to wanting to hit your goal by 50. I turn 50 in March and that is my goal as well. I have 14 to go so I hope I can do it. With this group motivating me I hope too. I used to live in the Seattle area for 23 years so I know exactly where Puyallup is, it sure has grown! I did extremely well yesterday with…
  • Is it too late to join? I hope not, boy do I need some motivation! Name: Kat A little bit about me: Let's see, I'm 49 years old, hoping to hit my goal by my 50th!!! I live with my fabulous husband of 3 years and our 4 rescue dogs, 2 labs and 2 ex-racing greyhounds. I live in Northern CAlifornia and feel blessed that my…
  • WOW! That's awesome April, 100 reasons indeed, I'm thinking that one alone is worth it! Congrats to you!
  • It's also great heaped on some yummy whole grain bread, topped with some cinnamon and then put it under the broiler or in a toaster oven until is melty and yummy. I LOVE cottage cheese. I'm the only one in the house that eats it though. I can't even show it to my son or he gets the dry heaves!
  • I hated that! It certainly contributed to my lack of confidence in the physical fitness category. Stupid test! :grumble:
  • I really like fasting as well, the marketers absolutely HATE that! There is just nothing on the market that help you fast better. As my stomach grumbles it gives me some sort of sadistic pleasure that NO ONE is making a dime off me!
  • Oh now that sounds good! I'll have to try that. I am totally enjoying this thread, wasn't planning on commenting but you got me with the chocolate mousse pudding...I think I need to get to the grocery store! Thanks Dave! :flowerforyou:
  • I've been away too long and been drinking WAY too much wine. I really need to refocus. The weather has been so nice, I love to sit by the pool with the glass of wine. I'm with you guys though, I feel so much better in the morning without and I have so much more energy to get things done and feel motivated to work out. I…
  • Wow, I've been gone too long. Back on the wagon so to speak and aim to lose 2 pounds this month and get my patootie sweating again! Good luck to us all! :drinker:
  • Hello all! I jumped right back in on Monday and did BL Boot Camp levels 1, 2, and 3...OMG! Thank's Bob! :grumble: I could hardly walk yesterday and squatting today is painful. So last night I did nothing. Tonight I think I'll try it again even though I'm still sore, more stiff then anything I think. I was also trying…
  • There you are! I've been trying to find the latest post. I'm back from my trip (been back a week actually) and life has been crazy. Got back in the saddle yesterday so I've got some catching up to do. Did BL Bootcamp (for the first time!) last night levels 1, 2, 3! Yowsa, kicked my patootie! I'll ad more later. Hope you're…
  • Oh I LOVE Jen Lancaster! I've read all three of her previous books and can't wait to get back to Sacto, her latest should have arrived while I've been gone! She is friggin' hilarious and yes, she gets the struggle of weight loss and working out. There's been lots of alcohol on this trip to San Diego. Looking forward to…
  • That's awesome! I know what you mean, it feels so good to get back in a smaller size. I'm working that too! Congrats to you and you should never worry about being proud of your success. You earned it! We  hearing about it here at MFP so brag on dear! :drinker:
  • Ditto, very sweet! :drinker: :flowerforyou:
  • I love mine. I can't imagine not having one now. It's SO motivating! I agree though, you gotta make sure those sensors are wet. My heart rate reads "0" otherwise!

  • Mel sorry about your water heater, that would certainly drive me to drink! I forgive you for not kicking me in the *kitten* then! Deb so sorry about that damn wagon!!! Enjoy your weekend, Monday will be here soon. I'm off to San Diego for the week for a business trip and I'm not even going to pretend like I'm…
  • " Hi and thanks for the welcome. I wanted to comment on this. Having been sugar free for 4 years I can attest to the fact that there are moments that it is difficult. Sometimes it is the craving but other times, it is more learning how to do something new in a familiar situation. Like a family picnic or birthday…
  • Great post! I've been thinking the same thing. I keep looking in the mirror thinking how much better I look but I haven't lost that much weight or inches. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was thinking it was just wishful thinking too! :noway: My 10's fit better and look better so something must be going on. I'm still…
  • That's fantastic! Way to go! I had a horrible week this week with avoiding alcohol. Next week I'm out of town on business so not sure how that's going to go. I'll just have to take it one day at a time. You're an inspiration however! Thanks for sharing! :drinker:
  • I ALWAYS sleep better without wine. With wine I'm out like a light but I always end up waking up in the middle of the night and struggle to get back to sleep. It is indeed one of the BEST benefits of no alcohol before bed. It feels so good to get up in the morning refreshed!
  • Wow! You are SO close to your goal. Way to go and congrats to you! :drinker:
  • Congrats to everyone. I am heading out of town for a week for work so I won't have any TJ going on but I will do cardio. The hotel has a fitness room so I can at least do that. I managed to lose a pound while on vacation by doing an hour of cardio 5 days a week. :noway: That's what I'm hoping for. I'll check in with you…
  • I'm with you ladies, if I could keep it to one glass there would not be a problem! Congrats on the weight loss, it's nice to see that we can still enjoy ourselves and reach our goals. It may take us a bit longer but we'll be a lot less grumpy when we get there, right? :blushing:
  • What? No one to kick me in the *kitten*? Okay then! This was a pretty unsuccessful week as far as the no wine goes but I was VERY happy with the scale this morning when I dropped over a pound. I haven't seen a drop in a while so I'm a happy girl and more motivated then ever to keep on keeping on, I WILL reach my goal. I'm…
