  • I was about to post this same topic, so thank you. :-) I, too, have been working to eat more "clean." From what I've been reading and learning, to eat truly clean means to avoid anything that's processed or has ingredients you can't pronounce. A better way of looking at it- could our ancestors 150+ years ago eat this food?…
  • Thanks-- looks like I have some shopping to do. Darn.... ;-) ;-)
  • The sausage comes pre-cooked, so it really just needs to be warmed along with the eggs. It's done in less than 5 mins. :-)
  • Great job! We are about the same height and my goal weight is very close to your current weight (I was there, gained a few, and am working my way back down).... so I GREATLY appreciate your pics. It's inspirational.
  • I'm usually looking for something quick and filling before I head to work, so my latest staple has been Egg Beaters (1/2 cup) with one serving of Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage Crumbles mixed in. I scramble this up and add a dash of hot sauce for flavoring. It's got a lot of protein, tides me over, and is less than 200 calories.
  • Me! I'm 5' 1" and at my heaviest I was (gulp) 139. I'm now less than a pound from reaching by goal, which is to be under 120. Once I hit that goal, my "stretch goal" is to hit 117. My target is 1200 calories a day. I found that these last few months, once I was within a few pounds of my goal, have been the toughest. I keep…
  • I don't know that there's a perfect answer for everyone, but I try not to dip into my exercise calories unless its a special occasion. (This gives me that extra "buffer " I need for a night out, a holiday ,etc.) Sometimes, I'll end up dipping into 50 calories or so of my exercise, just based on how things work out with…
  • My goal is actually to maintain for the month through Christmas, then pick it back up in January. If I lose a pound or so I won't complain but we'll see how easy or hard it will be to just maintain. I like this group though ;) Name/ real name: usmartkri/Kristy Goal weight on December 31st: 119 (or less) 12/01: 123.5 12/05:…
  • My goal is to workout 30-60 minutes, at least 6 times a week. A few of my workouts are fitness classes that last a full hour, but I'm also doing the Jillian Michaels "Ripped in 30" program five days a week, which consists of 30 minute workouts. Overall, I am for at least 3 hours of exercise total in the week (210 minutes).…
  • Great thread! I appreciate reading these ideas, and I have a few of my own to share: * Weight Watchers string cheese (smoked flavor is awesome) * Fruit (apple or peach) * Fiber one 50 calorie yogurt * Sugar free pudding cup * 100 calorie pack of almonds * Fiber One 90 calorie chewy bars and/or brownies * Oregon Chai Tea…
  • Wow-- who knew there were so many short women on here!? I am 5' 1" and aiming to lose 10 pounds. I lost 10 earlier this year (before I joined this site), and I'm working on another 10 before year end. Happy to friend/support anyone.... mutual help is great! Good luck, ladies!!
  • Hi All My name is Kristy, and I"m new to Fitnesspal. It was recommended to me by a friend who lost 20 pounds using it last year. I lost 10 pounds so far this year (before Fitnesspal), and my goal is to lose another 10 more before the end the year. So far, I'm pleased with using this tool to help me on my journey.... Kristy
