  • I agree with this. ^ Think of the costs spent on tailoring as the cost you would spend on shipping! Buy the things you love and have them fitted accordingly. Good luck!

  • I used online calorie trackers like the one found here and found that they were WAY OFF! This is really terrible for someone like myself who is trying to do everything right, including eating back my exercise calories. I found that the calorie trackers far overestimate calories burned, a lot of times even double! If it is…
  • 231 Calories - Cherry Pie Oats - steel cut oats (microwavable), frozen dark cherries, couple dashes of cinnamon and tsp vanilla. 211 Calories - Spinach, Tomato, Garlic and Avocado with 2 egg white + 1 whole egg Omelet - dice tomatoes and mince garlic in advance; keep in refrigerator; you could even use a couple dashes of…
  • I have had both and the Droid is TERRIBLE! I only had the Droid for 6 months and could not wait for the new iPhone to be released. I just got my iPhone 4S last week and couldn't be happier to be back to Apple's iOS! This is my 5th iPhone. I tried Droid when I switched from AT&T to Verizon. :grumble: Never again for me!!!…
  • I am definitely getting back to it! I might be able to start this week, but more than likely it will be a week from now. I will be on the hunt for another group to join and it would be awesome if we did it together!
  • Last night I made the SkinnyTaste Chicken Enchiladas with Creamy Green Chile Sauce and OMGOSH it is SO good!!!! I substituted Greek yogurt in place of light sour cream. I also used double the chicken with no beans because my BF doesn't like them. HIGHLY recommend this recipe!…
  • Hello to all of my fellow Shredders! Sorry that I haven't been around. :ohwell: A week ago my grandmother slipped in her garden after planting her beloved tomatoes. She fractured her hip and ended up having emergency hip surgery. She is 79 years old and battled pancreatic cancer 5 years ago. It is practically a miracle…
  • I was a "latch key kid" from about the age of 6 or 7. This gave me free reign to cruise the neighborhood, watch and eat whatever I wanted, when I wanted. I don't recall ever wearing seat belts. I was not ever grounded and never had toys taken away from me. If I got in trouble, I got the belt (or anything else that was in…

  • Hi from Northeast Phoenix!
  • I actually came to MFP as an assignment for a clinical nutrition class. The limit of 2500 mg per day set by MFP is crazy high! That was one of the lectures based on MFP and 'healthy' practices regarding diet and exercise. I will link to sources so that you can read about recommendations from credible sources like Mayo…
  • I too try to keep my sodium at or below 1500 mg per day. My goal is really 1200 mg, but I seem to fall between 1500 and 1800mg per day unless I eat out, then it easily goes over 2000 mg. I try to cut out the biggest offenders like eating out and processed foods. When you find things that are fat free or reduced fat, they…
  • ^^ ^ ^ ^ ^^ THIS :)
  • The craziest thing is MFP has the sodium set at 2500, which is REALLY high. Here is a link from Mayo that you might be interested in. Notice the words "LIMITING TO UNDER", meaning 2300 is what the MAX should be for someone 50 and under. In nursing courses, we are taught to stay under 1500 mg per day for health. I came to…
  • You can actually go into the database on MFP and search "Amys light in sodium" and will find the meals entered. They range anywhere from 190mg to 390mg on the high end. The majority are 290-340mg per serving. Also, if you haven't had Amy's before, they are actually pretty good. At least I think so...
  • Amy's has a "light in sodium" line. http://www.amys.com/health/special-diets/sodium
  • I have worn a sports bra under a sports bra tank top and I feel like I am being smothered! So, for me, I can't imagine wearing 2 sports bras! Personally, I have found sports bras that have adjustable straps to be the best for me. I shorten the straps and the girls barely move! I have also found that wearing a sports bra…
  • Wow! I can't believe no one has mentioned TRADER JOE'S CHAMPAGNE PEAR VINAIGRETTE! It is ridiculously delicious! It is only 45 calories, 2.5g fat and 3g carbs per serving! Another favorite of mine is Follow Your Heart Balsamic Vinaigrette. It is 70 calories, 7g of fat and 4g carbs per serving.

  • I finished L2D4 tonight and I have had trouble with my knees since L1D1... I also picked up tennis recently. My knees aren't used to the impact that I am putting them through. I am finding that for myself, it is getting better as it goes along. Some days are better than others for me too. The jumping jacks and the jump…
  • I am also feeling better about L2 than L1. I thought it was just me. I do think that since I have done a lot of plank in yoga, that it helps me. Military presses are NOT my friend though. I am also still finding that my knees are in terrible shape and the jumping jacks and jump rope are not good for me. I still do them…
  • ^This, plus add Omega 6s, monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats.
  • I recently starting playing tennis and love everything about it! For months, I walked past the tennis courts on my way to yoga and felt such a desire to try it. So, I have! So happy with my decision!
  • I just bought the Polar FT40 after reading a lot of reviews and researching. It was pricey. I spent $165 on it. I personally purchased mine from REI because hey have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If at any time I don't like it for any reason at all (or if it doesn't work properly, etc) I can return it for a refund or…
  • I usually do 1 of 2 things... 1) Cherry Pie Oats - OMGosh, so good! Put a pot on the stove with the right amount of water in it and turn to high. While I am waiting for that to boil, I take out some dark sweet unsweetened cherries from the freezer and put 1/4 in each of my serving bowls to thaw. Make myself a cup of…
